Nelles Cottage on the Park, Backs onto Park

Charming and beautifully appointed, Nelles Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic and memorable retreat. This home has been recently updated and features all the modern conveniences and a lovely front porch.



The house backs onto Veteran's Memorial Park and the Commons and a gate in the back fence provides quick, easy access - perfect to enjoy the many scenic walking and biking trails, tennis courts, community swimming pool, beach volleyball court, playground, and soccer fields. Prices are subject to change daily.



-3 Bedrooms – 2 King beds and 1 Queen bed

-2 Bathrooms – Tub shower combination and walk-in shower

-Hosts up to 6 guests (including infants and children)

-Private parking for up to 2 vehicles, contactless check in

-Dog Friendly (one adult dog - $100 pet fee; a portion of the pet fee goes to support our local pet rescue - Angel's Rest.)

-Central heating, and air conditioning

-High speed WiFi and TV with access to streaming services



Upon entering Nelles Cottage there is a spacious living/dining area with enough room for the whole family to gather. There is a TV for those rainy days or relaxed evenings indoors.



The kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs during your stay with us:



-Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee, tea, and sugar to get you started

-Stove, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher

-Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses)

-Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths

-Salt and pepper



There are two bedrooms on the main floor. The primary bedroom is behind French doors off the living space with a King bed and sliding doors overlooking the backyard. The other main level bedroom has a Queen bed. The family bathroom has a tub/shower combination.



On the lower level, the bedroom has another King bed, with lots of room, a sitting area and a built-in desk just in case you must work and a second TV. The lower level bathroom has a walk-in shower.



The laundry is on the lower level and everything you need is supplied:



-Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets



Bedding, towels, hair dryer, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, and hand soap are also provided.



Outside we have a gas BBQ and patio furniture to enjoy your meals "al fresco"! Relax on the front porch and watch the people and occasional horse and carriage pass by. Sit in the back garden while dinner cooks on the BBQ/grill. Take a walk through the back gate to the tennis courts or community swimming pool.



Take a short stroll to the many world-class restaurants, Shaw Festival Theatres, and quaint boutiques that line downtown Queen Street. Visit the Niagara wineries, breweries and distilleries scattered throughout the area. Niagara Falls is just a short drive away along the scenic Niagara River Parkway.

Cute house in a perfect location

Great 3 bedroom house with lots of linens close to wineries , walking trails and shopping. House well appointed, lovely linens and well appointed kitchen. Surprisingly in wine country there was no welcome bottle of wine like most vrbos I’ve stayed in. Thought that was a bit cheap. Overall great place to stay.

Great cottage!

The house is in a perfect location with walking distance to ask the shops downtown as well as lots of trails for dog walking, bike riding, or running! My family and I really enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and comfortable living space.

Clean, well equipped. Location is quiet and great for walking to shops and restaurants on Queen Street. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was great for walking our dog.

Great home close to town center

This is a great home for a small family or group to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake and the surrounding area. A very comfortable house with lots of room for privacy. Walking distance to the town center and the theatre. The hosts are very accommodating to pet visitors. Communication and check-in and out were seamless and quickly responsive. Highly recommended!

Great location to the historic district, with spacious rooms, bathrooms and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. Enjoyed having Netflix on the smart TV for an evening movie, if we stayed in.

Great location

Rooms worked really well for 4 adults and my 23 yr old loved the basement space to himself. would have been nice to have a master bathroom vs share with younger son especially with no lock on the door!! And a small chest of drawers in master to put clothes in would be a welcome addition. Backyard not that usable for outdoor meal for 4, table too small and space a bit small so we ate dinners out. Great location with green space out back (tho a bit hard to access through overgrown shrubs) and super short walk to town.

Lovely Home

Three retired friends for the week, we each had our own bedroom which was great. The open area is large. The kitchen is well equipped. Large bathroom, great lighting for putting on makeup. The layout of the house was so functional, I would love to live there!!!! The house is also very bright. Great location. Our only complaint is that there were 2 stains on the carpet downstairs as well as the stairs and one dining room chair that perhaps should be addressed. Also the chair at the desk in the basement is disintegrating without being touched.

Lovely cottage rental in NOTL

The cottage looks small from the outside but it is very comfortable for 2 couples with complete room and ensuite bathroom downstairs and main floor. It is super pet friendly with a small enclosed (not fully) backyard and a massive park and field right next door with an Off-Leash park right there. It was perfect for our in house dining including BBQ that we used twice while there. We recommend it to anyone with a small dog. Loved the location - 2 blocks from Historic Downdown NOTL - away from the hustle and bustle but easy walking distance to everything. We cycled from the cottage twice and enjoyed quiet, flat parkways and rural routes with wide shoulders and courteous drivers. Thanks for a lovely stay and we look forward to our next stay at the same place. All the best, Tim , Laura and Sydney (our Aussie Cattle Dog)

Horrible Customer Service and Hosts

I cannot provide feedback on the cottage as I did not use it. I can provide a review of my experience with Niagara Holiday Rental. In short, I found their empathy, flexibility compassion,and customer service to be horrible.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I had booked the cottage to stay with my wife,both seniors,and our 90+ parent. Unfortunately, our dog became ill (she lost her sight) with some complications. Since my cancellation insurance did not cover dogs, I contacted Niagara Holiday Rentals to explore alternatives. They told me that I was not entitled to a refund (which I knew) nor could they do anything to help me with the situation. I asked if I could gift it to a friend and I was told no and since I booked & paid for the cottage, I had to always be present too. I called to clarify this condition and I was told yes. With that limitation, my wife and our 90+ parent could not use the cottage either, since I would have to be with my dog, even though they were part of the initial group. It was very disappointing that this organization, in extenuating circumstances, will not try to help its customers by exploring all opportunities to provide flexibility. This is not the customer service one expects from any organization but particularly one tied to tourism. All they seemed to be interested in is the revenue and used their policy as the crutch. A company with such values should not be entrusted with your business. I would highly recommend that you stay away from them.
