Bait and Switch---DISHONEST OWNER
The property itself met our housing expectations and is above average. The communication with the owner was nothing short of a bait and switch. When I saw the property and its location on the map, it appeared to be right on the mountain above the Navajo area. I sent a message to the owner asking specifically if this property is a ski in/ski out property. His reply was, Yes! I made it clear we wanted ski in/ski out as it was our #1 criteria, due to on-line school requirements for 3 teenagers at varying hours of the day. We assumed that meant skiing directly (or very close) to the lift or a point of access for skiing. This property is NOT a ski in/ski out property. At best, it's about 2 blocks from any access to the mountain above Navajo. And, it is definitely NOT what we would traditionally call a well appointed location meeting this criteria. When I inquired about the inaccuracy of this information and the burdensome time spent driving kids to and fro, the owner said that I misunderstood. I then requested a partial refund......crickets. Do not waste your time renting from dishonest homeowners!
