The underground parking and elevator make the lodge an excellent place to stay. I enjoyed watching the geese every morning from the patio. The pool was the perfect temperature for swimming.
Love-Love-Love the location, but we couldn’t get hot water in the master bathroom shower at certain times. (Other 2 baths were fine-) The kitchen “supplies” are terrible. I’ve used better pots for camping. The restaurants are all over booked, so we had to cook and had a hard time cooking with the cheap-cheap-cheap almost worthless pans/utensils/4oz coffee mugs. For what we paid to rent, we expected to be able to cook in the kitchen. (Coffee maker sucked, stove was terrible and the dishwasher and I are still seeing other people-). The main area is kind of cramped and then they have an empty hutch taking up 1/4th the room. (Seriously- why?). We couldn’t get the remote to work, so used our own netflix account. The mattress were also cheap-cheap-cheap, none of us slept well the entire time. (Maybe that’s why I’m crabby now?) The steam room in the Red Hawk Lodge was broken. (Not our owners fault- but…). I would stay in this location again, but not in this unit. We’ve stayed in the building several times before and the other units were SO much nicer, better equipped and comfortable. I gave it 5 stars because Of the location- this is where you want to stay, just maybe not this specific unit.
Unbeatable location and great views, very easy to walk to kids ski school drop-off, town, and Gondola. The beds were not super comfortable (especially the pull out couch).
Our family of six had a great experience at Red Hawk Lodge. It was our 3rd trip to Keystone and 1st time staying at RH. Beautiful view, clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay there again!
Overall, it was a good property. Would suggest the trash cans for the lodge be located some place other than next to the main elevator that exits to the parking garage. The pools and hot tubs were nice. The room were nice, but needed some updates. The beds are very hard. Would suggest the owners upgrade mattresses, from looking at them, they are the original ones. Some staining on the box and mattress.
