The historic Colonnade Hotel was built in 1880 and thrived throughout the mining booms and busts until 1999 when it was converted to four separate private residences over the years.

Colonnade Hotel Stay

This was an amazing place to stay. The owners, Mike and Denice, did such a great job renovating the hotel and adding a modern flair to the place, while still respecting its history and heritage. If I’m ever back in Eureka, I’ll definitely be booking the Colonnade again.

Great place, wish I could have stayed longer

I needed a place to hang my hat for a night driving through Nevada and found this gem. What a great place. Everything you need in a place away from home. Full kitchen and laundry too. New and very clean. I also got a little background of the place from Mike the owner on my way out. Really loved the neon sign but did turn it off during the night :) I wish I could have stayed longer. 5 starts for sure.

Mike & Denice are continually improving and renovating the Colonnade Hotel for future guests. Living in a rural area, there is a lack of qualified contractors. However, Mike has been in the construction industry since 1985, owning several businesses in New Jersey. One of them, specializing in restoration of historic homes. Mike & Denice have performed all the renovations themselves (compliant with current building codes) and they focus on the details that make the Colonnade Hotel special.

Why they chose this property

This space was renovated in 2020 and has been providing a unique stay for many guests since then. You'll be amazed at the detail and craftsmanship put into this space from the recycled redwood trim to the restored neon sign. It is immaculate and comes with many amenities. The layout is easy to navigate with a loft kitchen overlooking the living room and bedroom. The bathroom, shower, toilet, and laundry room are tucked away on a lower level but offer a large amount of space. It is truly a one of a kind property!
