The Lazy Lady. A cozy cabin retreat with beautiful views close to town.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some much needed fresh air in this relaxing mountain retreat.

This charming, two story cabin, is located on a hillside in the West Village of Shaver Lake, just a 5 minute walk to downtown. With an updated kitchen, gas fireplace and washer/dryer, this three bedroom/two bathroom home has everything you need to create great memories for you and your family.

Downstairs you will find a modern kitchen, family room, bathroom and small bedroom with a full size bed. Enjoy some hot chocolate and popcorn as you cuddle up on the couch next to the gas fireplace and play board games or watch movies on the 50" flat screen TV (with DVD player). Large windows look out onto the front porch, which sits high in the trees, providing beautiful views in a relaxing setting.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms with queen beds, including a large master bedroom. In addition, there is a bathroom and bonus area with a pull out, full size, futon.

A large back deck provides a perfect place for kids activities while the adults enjoy relaxing on the front deck. This cabin is an ideal getaway for a family or two couples. Only minutes to the lake and 20 miles to China Peak, the opportunities abound. The stairs you climb to get to the cabin may be taxing, but the good things in life are worth the effort.

Great Cabin for a Weekend Getaway

Spent the weekend with my partner and some friends here and had a great time. The cabin is in a great location and is set up nicely for small groups. The two fireplaces were a plus and kept it plenty warm. Overall a great experience!

Gorgeous

We really only needed a place to sleep while we were working on my daughter’s property. This place turned out to be beautiful, peaceful quiet. The cabin is so well stocked. A little slice of heaven.

Great stay at the Lazy Lady

Really enjoyed the property. The cornhole and swing out back were wonderful. The cabin is very comfy and inviting. Only thing I would say is the stairs up to the second story are a little steep and the water heater only has enough hot water for a couple short showers, so if you have a large group, you'll want to stagger your showers accordingly.

Amazing Cabin in Shaver

The cabin was perfect! The resort didn’t end up opening all weekend at all but we made the best of it and really enjoyed our time here! Christian had everything ready to go and was shoveling the driveway shoveled when we arrived! We definitely recommend the Lazy Lady to anyone looking to come here in the future!

Awesome Trip

We had an awesome time celebrating my son’s 10th birthday at Lazy Lady. It was very spacious, comfortable, cozy, variety of dvd’s to pick from and games. We all as a family enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is beautiful and exactly as seen on pictures and described on other reviews. The view out the windows👍 We accidentally locked ourselves out and reached out to the owner whom responded quickly and was able to help us get back in. We are looking forward to staying at Lazy Lady again😊

The perfect family vacation spot!

I’ve stayed at many VRBOs, and this is the first time I felt that the place was actually clean (thank you!!). It was the perfect size for our family of 5 and was equipped with everything we could need (including their custom corn hole boards which we loved). The hosts were very responsive, reasonable, and thorough. It is walking distance to the small downtown stores and restaurants, and even our 2 year old could do the short walk to the lake. We are already looking at dates for our visit back next year!

Cozy Cabin

Our stay was exceptional. This cabin was cozy and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to questions I had prior to our arrival. The cabin was very clean and well appointed all the way around. The beds and sofas were all comfortable. The linens and towels were clean and I appreciated extra blankets to cuddle up on the couch. . The layout of the cabin allowed all 5 people to enjoy their own space while still enjoying time together. Everyone in our party was impressed with the cabin and looks forward to coming back. Little Slice of Heaven

I recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful Mother's Day weekend at the Lazy Lady cabin in Shaver Lake. The Lazy Lady is a super cool cabin - cozy and rustic, yet also modern and well-appointed. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy family room. We particularly loved spending time on the decks and just hanging out. We enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings and in the evenings relaxed on the decks, played some corn hole and listened to the sounds of the forest while gazing at the stars. Overall, I highly recommend the Lazy Lady cabin for a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this cabin is the perfect choice!

Shaver Lake

This is a cozy cabin. There are plenty of places to sit outside to enjoy the outdoors. It's a great place for friends and families to make memories in this small lake town. The owners were very helpful with information. You will get your exercise also. I see why they tell you how many stairs there are to get to the front door. There is no cable or internet which fits well with this cabin. There is a nice selection of DVDs for a family movie night. Kitchen is perfect for preparing meals. Print the directions the owner details in the information packet. It has photos also to help navigate your way. All details were covered and everyone had a fun time! Till next time.....

Peaceful cabin in a stunning natural setting

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lazy Lady and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The cabin was cozy and welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. One of my favorite features of the cabin was the stunning view of the surrounding forest. Whether we were warming up by the fireplace or enjoying a cup of coffee or hot cocoa on the front deck, I was constantly in awe of the natural beauty that surrounded me. In addition, the cabin is really close to town and was a 1 minute drive, 5 minute walk to the nearby stores and restaurants. This was really great for exploring the town of Shaver Lake. The cabin was also well-appointed with all of the amenities I needed to feel right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed to cook meals, and the beds were comfortable and inviting after a day of playing in the snow. I would highly recommend the Lazy Lady to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a stunning natural setting. Whether you're looking to unplug and unwind or explore all the outdoor adventures the area has to offer, this cabin is the perfect home base for an unforgettable vacation.

Fishing trip

Great stay! Home was roomy, beds comfortable. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again.For those with mobility issues, the initial climb to the door and the climb to upstairs bedrooms are a bit steep. Our 78 yo family member made it slow and steady and was content to stay in and enjoy the cabin and the downstairs bedroom the entire stay.

We had a great time here for our birthdays and daughters kindergarten graduation! The inside is cozy and beds were comfortable. Plenty of things to do inside: books, movies, and boardgames to enjoy. The water pressure is great and gets nice and hot. Both the front and back decks are great for relaxing, being on a hill you are up there with the tops of the trees. The kids loved the chair lift swing in the back as well. Food is close by and a BBQ on the property is convenient, but enjoyed eating out during our stay since everything is so close. Check in was very easy and we were enjoying The Lazy Lady in no time. The driveway can be tight but there was no problem pulling in or backing in a full size truck for us. Overall it was an excellent get away and we have no complaints! Thanks again for the time at your property!
