Needs Tender Loving Care
The apartment is in a great part of Cannes, The Suquet. It’s close to many restaurants, a small grocery store, + more. The little curvy pedestrian-only street lined with restaurants has a lovely old-world charm + is alive and active every evening.
The rustic apartment is on the bottom floor, so no stairs. It's an older building, so don’t expect squeaky clean. The first thing you’ll notice is a very loud squeak when the front door is opened and closed. It needs a little WD40 or some kind of lubricant and it will stop. Many old buildings have black mold and this is no exception. We’re neat freaks, so we notice things like this … mold where the bath towels hang and in areas around the sink in the bathroom and kitchen. The HUGE patio is nice, but it needed to be swept and the cushions needed to be washed or dusted off. The BBQ was pretty dirty and needs a big cleaning. The silverware and dishes, glasses, and cups weren’t the cleanest, so we hand-washed everything before using them.
Using the stove was a challenge, but finally figured it out. A manual would have been nice. The extremely slow wifi was a huge problem because we were in Cannes for business and needed to upload huge files which wasn't possible at all. Most people don’t need extremely fast wifi, so if you don’t, you’ll be fine.
If you don’t mind little things like this, the apartment will be OK. We’re all different and this place would be perfect for a small party, if you had one in mind.
