We had a fabulous week in Waulsort as a family of 4. The views over the river and the rocks were stunning. Communication with Iris was excellent. The property is brilliantly located just 15 mins drive from Dinant, and we were able to enjoy lots of brilliant activities such as walking (including the little free ferry across from Waulsort to Les Cascatelles), rock climbing, kayaking, cycling, as well as visiting the brilliant war museum in Bastoyne and going up to the Grottes de Han for the day. We used outside seating and dining areas extensively, particularly the barbecue. It was also helpful to have parking on the drive. The living areas inside the property are quite cramped, particularly the kitchen, but we just cooked and ate outside instead. Some people commented on the noise from the road; while cars do drive down there quite quickly it never really bothered us and it was certainly fairly easy to reverse out of the drive onto the road. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend staying at this property to others.

Small Villa with lovely views over the Meuse River

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. It is well equipped and the wifi was excellent. The rooms are small and the traffic on the main road noisy during the day. The speed limit is 70 km/h but most people use it as a race track making a lot of noise. It is difficult to back out into the main road. The owner Iris was excellent at keeping us informed and left nice food gifts and flowers which were most appreciated. I would have given the villa five stars if the speed limit was enforced on the road which is no fault of the owner.

A very nice holiday home in a beautiful environment

The holiday home looks very well outside and inside. It is located to the Maas. The road is driven quite fast. With nice weather, boats are passing by. The house is very cosy. The interior of the house is very complete. The reception is exceptional: at the covered terrace there was a bottle of wine with different fruits and nuts. Fruit was also present in the house and there were eggs from own chickens. We enjoyed our stay very much. There are two areas for improvement. A handyman is needed to fix some minor defects. Furthermore, the internet speed is very low.

Super Gegend, tolle Gastgeberin
