Gorgeous, newly remodeled Contemporary Big Sur-Style Guest House with private Hot Tub, 2 decks, gas fire table and chat set. It feels both open and private with a bank of windows from end to end that open up to views of Carmel Valley, Carmel River Beach and Point Lobos. After gently descending 22 well-lit and landscaped redwood stairs to the lower level, you will enter a beautiful, private landscaped yard with views overlooking a canopy of trees with virtually no direct view of other houses! This 930 sf ground floor Guest House has a large living room, large Master Bedroom that includes an office area with a copier/printer, a Master Closet with full-sized Washer/Dryer, and views of Point Lobos. You may never leave the bed! There is a Main House above it. Additional sound-proofing has been added both to the ceiling as well as new flooring in the Main house with commercial insulation which was added in December 2022. This newly renovated home is fresh, clean and uncluttered with an updated Big Sur lodge influence and New Everything!

The Living Room has a Queen Sleeper/ Sofa and the Full-Sized Murphy Bed doubles as a writing table. Enjoy an adult beverage while whipping up a snack or meal from the Kitchenette with 2 large capacity Microwave/ Convection Oven and Convection Oven/ Air-Fryer with 2-burner Hot Plates with Granite Island seating. The large private yard (1500 sf) has 2 outdoor decks and is fully fenced and landscaped with garden lighting. The deck outside the master bedroom has views of Point Lobos from the new Hot Tub! The second deck has a romantic gas Fire-Table Chat Set to stay warm while counting the stars. Well behaved dogs are welcome as the yard is fully fenced and the wood floors are easy to keep clean.

There are No Stock Photos! 20% discount will be applied for stays of 30-days or more as Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is no longer required. Just outside the Carmel-by-the-Sea city limits in the Coastal Zone, this property is not subject to Carmel or the County Short Term Rental restrictions.

Property is right off Hwy 1 and an easy 1 mile from the quintessential Village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. It does require a car to get to town, as the trail to the adjacent street has been cut-off. The Guest House is on the ground-level of the property. It shares a ceiling with the Main House occupying the 1st and 2nd floors above it. It has it's own stairway and entry and is entirely SEPARATE though conversations are audible if both parties from the Main House and Guest House are out on the deck together. There is lots of light from windows with a big indoor/ outdoor open feel. Crestview is perfect for a family or romantic Vacation or remote Work/ Study Retreat. New to VRBO in 2021!

Perfect stay

This was an impromptu birthday trip for my wife and this spot delivered. The host was awesome and the property is gorgeous. Close to hwy1 so you can quickly get to Monterey or head south about 5 minutes to the greatest brunch place on the planet, From Scratch. My family of 4 absolutely loved our stay.

5 star Fabulous on every single level beginning with our hosts, Callie and Susan and their responsiveness and 100% attention to detail. This property is immaculate and perfectly maintained. Everything is new sleek and modern yet cozy and comfortable. Our dogs felt so comfortable here with a totally enclosed yard and freedom to roam safely. every single detail was thoughtful and appreciated from the snacks and the wine to the welcome card, beautiful furniture, decor, & artwork so beautifully curated. Super comfy bed, with a great view. Lots of light in each room. We also loved the outdoor space which was very private. The chat set with gas fireplace & the heated spa provided a welcome respite each evening with soft string lights. The spa jets were not as powerful as we would like, but it was hot and ready to go and clean. put it this way, it’s in our top three rentals we’ve ever stayed in over these last 10 to 15 years and we can’t wait to come back!

Location was really great, the guest house is the best equipped place I've ever rented. Very thoughtfully appointed with everything you would ever need. The owner was very welcoming and communicative. The HotTub was a wonderful end to a day of walking in town or the beach. I will come back for sure.

The place was exactly as described, and was the perfect spot to stay to visit Carmel, Monterey, Na Big Sur. Host was super communicative, making sure we had everything we needed, and provided great tips on things to do and places to eat. The house had everything we needed to keep us comfortable and enough room for our family of four. We loved to use the hot tub after our daily adventures. Highly recommended!

Four walls and a roof can have a lot of competition. What sets this place apart is the property owners themselves. They went above and beyond to make sure we knew the best of the best about the area, activities and dining to maximize every minute of our trip. Is the guest house perfectly clean and adorably decorated…yes! Are the views stunning…yes! Are the amenities plentiful and exceptional…yes! But what can’t be discounted or unappreciated is being treated like you’ve been friends for forever and that every need to have is anticipated and you being their guest is their top priority. Lovely flat in quiet location close to it all

We had a wonderful stay at this bright, clean, and well-appointed flat. Especially enjoyed the private hot tub and the very comfortable bed - slept great! It was great to be a short drive from downtown Carmel, but far enough away to be quiet and to have parking available always. Time in Big Sur, Point Lobos, beaches were highlights. Great communication and responsiveness by host and property manager. Thanks so much!

Quiet get away

Perfect place to stay to see our daughter at DLI. She was able to stay with us for the weekend and found the Murphy bed comfortable. The kitchen & living room tables were perfect for playing family games that we brought with us and the grill and hot tub were awesome. Location worked well to explore Big Sur & Monterey. We enjoyed our time here and would stay again if we came back.

Great Girls' Weekend for Big Sur Marathon

We had a great stay with such a perfect location close to Carmel by the Sea and the beach. The amenities were perfect and the hospitality and communication were top notch. The hot tub served me well after running the marathon and we enjoyed wine around the fire on the patio for a very relaxing and enjoyable reunion of college friends.

Perfect home base for exploring Carmel and Pebble Beach

This property was absolutely adorable: charming, clean, and well-appointed! We loved ending each day with a dip in the hot tub and sitting by the fire pit drinking wine while wrapped in big fluffy blankets. The property was a very short drive (~5 minutes) to Carmel shops, restaurants, and beach. It was also convenient to Pebble Beach resorts (~15 minutes).

My happy place
