Welcome to Langseth Lodge!

Langseth Lodge, a year-round cabin rental, is located on the shores of Lake Ocheda just outside Worthington, MN and offers a quiet, peaceful getaway for your family vacation or event.

Langseth Lodge is a great place to relax and unwind. Lake Ocheda is a rather shallow lake and is therefore great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and floating on an inner tube. Lake Okabena, just several miles away, is perfect for boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, and windsurfing. Lake Okabena also offers great opportunities for fishing and ice fishing.

We were just in town for one night for a wedding, but could see that this would be a nice place to gather for a relaxing family get together a different time. We were grateful for Paul’s guidance to be sure we were at the right place and set up for the evening.

Whole family stay!

We had a wonderful time!! The place is amazing and it was a great time for kids and adults! The lake was wonderful to swim in and the bonfires were perfect. Paul had a fire going for us when we arrived which was so kind. Check in process and information was very helpful. The lodge slept all 7 adults and 3 kids very comfortably! Highly recommend staying here!

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely amazing! The lake is beautiful and we got a nice sunset. The owners are very kind and respectful. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful Setting

We stayed there overnight during our move across the country. Paul was extremely helpful, I really can't say enough of his help in relieving some of the stress of our move. Wish we could have stayed for a couple of days.

Relaxing!

The lake was great to sit by and watch sunsets. We did some canoeing. Unfortunately the beach was under water but would gladly return to enjoy more of the lakeside. It was quiet and plenty of space for the kids to run around outside.

Family Weekend trip

This is a beautiful property in a private location. The access to the lake was great and provided hours of entertainment for the whole family. We spent a lot of time outdoors, but felt there was plenty of space for everyone indoors as well. We really enjoyed the dining hall as it made it easy to set up for meal times and everyone could sit together for eating. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. We hope to be back in the future!

Great Place to Unwind and Get Away

We had my friend’s bachelors party here, and it was quiet/relaxing to be able to get away from the world and just hang out in this comfortable home. Everything was clean and great, and the beds were fantastic! Will be staying again soon!

Family get together

There were 4 of us and we all LOVED it! The scenery was beautiful! The house was perfect. Enjoyed time by the fire and the water. Beautiful sunsets. Was able to catch an eagle flying over. Paul (the owner) was the best. He even came got a fire going for us when we got home from our outing for the day. Can’t say enough about this VRBO.

Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Lodge. Very relaxing, gorgeous views, and thankfully had nice weather. Paul was very accommodating and we were so thankful we could bring our dog. The four season room was under construction, which was no biggie since we only had 4 people, but will be very nice when done to bring back more of the family...and they may want to invest in a new grill :)

About the host

Paul has spent 50 of his sixty years on the property. Original, non modern cabins were built on the site in the 1940's and were rented on a year round basis by Paul's father and grandfather. Paul and his siblings spent hours every day in the summer on the beach, lake shore, swimming or sailing on the lake. The original cabins fell into decline during the 70's and 80's.

The current lodge was built in 1995 by Paul's father with help from cousins and family. The lumber was sourced and milled locally. Originally, the cabin was used for family and church functions.

Leanne and Paul were married in 2012. They inherited the property in 2019. Leanne and her adult children were instrumental in the redecorating and marketing of the lodge.

Why they chose this property

Quiet, secluded, private lake shore location with beach and fire ring.
Lake on west side, native wetland to east side. Lots of wildlife and bird watching.


What makes this property unique

Handicap accessible ground floor. Large food serving area with seating for 20 people inside with unlimited outdoor space. One fire pit is located near the lodge and another large fire ring area is on the beach for evening camp fire, hot dog roasting and s'more making. Round Lake winery is 6 miles away.
