Lovely, peaceful place - the view, accommodations (beautiful and comfortable casita, delightful property, and included use of the pool and hot tub) were just what we needed. And our hosts were friendly and welcoming - really good to us throughout our visit.
This property is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need for a visit to SB. The hosts were kind and helpful! We would recommend without hesitation and would love to return.
We loved our week at the Casita! Our hosts made us feel so at home. The location was peaceful and convenient. The pool and yard are gorgeous! We will definitely stay here again and again...
We had such a wonderful time staying at this property. Breathtaking views, stylish and comfortable interior, amazing bed and linens and fabulous pool and gardens made this a memorable trip to our favorite vacation spot - Santa Barbara. Our hosts were wonderful and communication was great. Our time there was too short and we would love to return. Thanks Michael and Thom for sharing your beautiful property with us!
Micheal and Thom are the consummate hosts at their beautiful home. Casita has everything one would need. Gorgeous grounds, sparkling pool, close to the El Encanto and Mission. Immaculate, 5 star accommodations and amenities. We've stayed here numerous times and we just love it. Heaven in the hills. Don and Ken
I can’t say enough about my stay at the casita. The attention to detail was incredible and every need was met. I felt like a princess every day. The grounds are beautiful and the use of the pool was such a bonus. The hosts make you feel special and are the nicest people. This is one of the best get aways I have ever had.
The views are spectacular. The pool and hot tub are great. The best part about this property is the peace and quiet. The only thing you can hear are hummingbirds fighting over the Orange Blossoms (which smelled terrific) and all of the other birds and chattering chipmunks.
It felt like we had the estate to ourselves, we saw Michael and Thom a few times during our week stay as we were coming and going. Michael and Thom were gracious hosts and we appreciated them sharing their home with us.
We can’t say enough about how lovely Casa Colina was! Michael and Thom thought of everything we might need and things we didn’t know we needed. From the nice sheets and linens, to the wonderful bed, to the “true” honor bar and robes, everything was perfect. The yard was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the spa and pool and our dog Carlos had a good time scampering around the fenced yard. The Casa has 2 private decks and even though the pool and spa are shared with the owners, it felt quiet and private.
We have stayed at many VRBO rentals, but this was the first time that the owners asked for a photo before we arrived. When I saw the photos printed and framed on the bedside, I was touched. Their attention to detail really made us feel at home.
The Casa is up on the hill- I think the area is called the Riviera-so we had to make a quick drive to reach downtown. Downtown can be reached on foot, too; the return (climbing) will get your heart rate up. The Keurig coffee machine with pods and cream they provided was lovely and allowed us to enjoy the deck and the patio before starting our day.
Casa Colina is quite frankly the best property we have ever stayed at in all the years booking thru VRBO. Michael and Thom could not have been nicer and engaging. You will be staying at the best that Santa Barbara has to offer. The dream like landscape, mountain views and pool were sublime. Cannot wait to return sometime in the near future. 15 out of 10 stars!
The place, the setting, and the hosts were all wonderful. The listing looked fantastic online, and was even better in person. It was exactly what we needed for a getaway. Everything is gorgeous, in an artistic and creative way, which my family really appreciated. The location is also convenient, by car, to all that Santa Barbara has to offer. The hosts, Michael and Tom, could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
Superb place for us! Just perfect for our stay in Santa Barbara. Owners are extraordinary- kind, available immediately for any needs/inquiries/problems, and gracious in sharing their property.
Our week at Casa Colita was nothing short of perfection.
We awoke to an assortment of coffee and teas to enjoy on the deck (just steps from our bed) while watching the morning fog roll back out to sea. The pool and spa were a nice treat in the afternoon sun. After a visit to the SB Farmer's Market, we grilled and dined alfresco with a view of the Riviera. The day drew to a close with fresh lemons and limes (from trees on the property), a great selection from the honor bar and a spritz of rosewater before bed. That was just ONE day.
We decided by day 3 that this will be the only place we want to stay on our annual SB trip.
Thanks so much M & T ❤
Our hearts are full.
The Casa Colina Casita surpassed our expectations! So close to downtown Santa Barbara and yet so far away. The view was spectacular, the accomodations inside and out were comfortable, relaxing, and yet elegant. Michael and Thom were the consummate hosts, with a keen sensitivity to affording us privacy, while also extending gracious sociability. All of the special touches Michael surprised us with made us feel as though the place existed just for us! If you're thinking of staying in Santa Barbara, this is the place.
The casita is quite the gem! I’ve booked numerous rentals and this is by far our most favorite experience. It truly felt like we had our own private oasis and it was plenty of room for my boyfriend & I plus 2 pups. Amazing views from our own balcony, beautiful pool and jacuzzi, just overall a beautiful dream home in the Riviera. Our hosts Michael and Thom were the kindest people we’ve met and it was also a pleasure getting to know them. We will definitely stay here over and over again & will recommend to our friends and family.
Casa Colinas is perched on the Riviera and offers stunning city and ocean views. We were blown away! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets just so soft, it felt luxurious. The walls are adorned with beautiful art. Outside, there are two terraces and an inviting pool area, all with great views. Every detail was attended to by Michael who, together with Thom, were the consummate hosts, always quick with suggestions for everything from restaurants to hikes. They are great people that we so enjoyed getting to know. If you have an opportunity to stay here, jump on it - you won't be sorry!
