About this property

Secluded family cabin in the heart of the San Juan Mountains

Cross the street and find yourself surrounded by 2 miles of secluded river shoreline and thousands of acres of national forest in Colorado's San Juan River Valley. This 4 bed/ 2 bath cabin is the perfect basecamp for your next adventure. We are located 20 minutes from the uncrowded lifts and deep powder of Wolf Creek Ski Area and 10 minutes from downtown Pagosa in one of the friendliest and most unique neighborhoods in Southwest Colorado. With world class Hot Springs, local shops and many amazing restaurants. Check out our chamber of commerce Facebook or website for weekly activities or events in town when you come.
Nestled on the floor of a picturesque valley, the River Side of the San Juan River Village feels safe and inviting. Access to two miles of private fishing (catch & release) is located directly across the street from our driveway. The neighborhood roads are great for a family walk, run or bike ride, and there are multiple access points to hiking in the surrounding national forest.
There are parking spaces in the driveway for up to five vehicles. The neighborhood does not allow parking on streets.

Neighborhood roads are plowed regularly during the snowy season (1 Nov to 30 Apr). The drive in from Hwy 160 is pretty mellow, but for your safety and for others on the road please ensure your vehicle meets CDOT Snow requirements for highway travel.

Like many remote locations in the Rocky Mountains, cell service in the river valley can be spotty. Verizon and T-Mobile tend to get 1-2 bars (depending on phone) of service in the neighborhood, and most people have 3+ bars along the highway in either direction. Once at the cabin you can tap into the strong WiFi for connectivity if your phone plan allows it.

PETS: Before booking, if you are bringing a pet be sure to include that in checkout before you reserve. 2 dogs allowed. A pet fee will apply. 2nd pet with approval too and additional fees. Breed restrictions will apply, as well.

Relaxing week in a beautiful location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the week! The location is perfect with the river just around the corner. The balcony was a perfect place to drink coffee in the morning while watching the hummingbirds and chipmunks. We enjoyed the hot tub and the cabin was fully equipped with anything we needed. We love to visit Pagosa Springs and we will definitely be back!

Fabulous!
Fabulous cabin on the San Juan river. No need to drive for fishing or hiking - both are a short walk from the property. Plenty of beds and room for a group. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We had a nice time because we were all together after several years. NOT because of the Cabin so much. Before you book be aware there was NO working BBQ. There may be one now. We were asked to assemble one that was purchased after we complained about no BBQ on the 4th of July. We declined...not a "vacation" activity for us. No outdoor furniture either. The Hot tub was un useable. It gets cleaned once a week only so if people before you left it dirty, too bad for you !! 2 beds had NO LINENS! We were told by property manager that there is extra of everything. There was NOT. She Did not help at all. 2 people slept on mattresses with blankets from the couch. We even finished the laundry and made a few beds when we arrived after check in and cleaning was still not done. The Dryer is broken so that took a long time. The CO2 detector beeped all night, until we took the dead battery out. Up stairs bed is on it's last leg on the footboard and old, old, OLD mattress with lumpy foam pads of various depths on it. Killed a Black Widow Spider the last night. River IS across the street. Private property along the river so access is very limited. These are facts. All we got were excuses and lack of amenities. The area is absolutely Beautiful. Other Cabins are maintained. Enjoy !!

great cabin with a few minor issues
Great cabin only 20 min from the wolf creek ski resort and 10 min to Pagosa Springs with plenty of space for our group of 9. The only issue we had with the stay was the internet was out for the entire week and there was no cell service at the cabin. The property manager and owner both did their best to fix the internet, but could not find a resolution.
