The apartment was perfect for our family of five, in the hills above the town. Amelie made sure everything was clean and welcoming and provided lots of suggestions for places to visit. The balcony is large and provides so much extra space, and the shared pool is the best way to cool off. Such a perfect location to explore Provence; we had a lovely time.
Some tips:
There is a supermarket (Spar) and bakery within 5 minutes drive away from Aix which is easy to get to.
We didn't bother with the Casino store down the hill.
We found the easiest and cheapest way to get to Aix was to drive to the park and ride, literally outside the gates, which gives you two return bus tickets. You can use the machine to request more. Then get the bus back and it costs EUR3.50 to leave the car park. Cheaper then 5 bus tickets.
You can (just) walk to Cezanne's studio if you don't mind the uphill return journey...
The pool is lovely but there are no parasols or loungers; it's just a quiet and relaxing way to sit, swim and cool down.
