We had the most amazing stay! The house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and the space was just as described online. Thankful for the time spent with family in a beautiful and serene location. We will be back!!
The cabin was perfect for our family of 10 with space for everyone. It was greatly enjoyed by young and old. We skied a day at Cataloochee, had a nice relaxing lazy rain day at the cabin and then enjoyed a day over in Gatlinburg. Thank you so much!
Perfect set up for a large group. , Beautiful house, clean, full of amenities to entertain everyone. Love the large dinning table that allowed all 11 of us to sit together for meals. This was the perfect place to make great memories for the last spring break for an awesome group of highs school seniors!
Everything exactly as advertised, and more. We were worried about kitchen items (pots, pans, utensils, etc) and there was an abundance of anything needed. Plenty of sleeping space and space in general, for 12 men to hang out, and even spend time on their own. Firepit area was great. Hot tub worked perfect. Plenty of parking.
We had seniors in their 70's and 50's then teenagers and younger children. Waverly lodge is gorgeous and we loved the privacy of the cabin. Road is steep but we managed just fine with a Ford Transit Van. Plenty of room for everyone. We had a couple MINOR hiccups but all was figured out quickly as hosts were awesome to deal with and responded very quickly. Thank You so much for allowing us to make so many memories at Waverly Lodge and we look forward to returning soon!! OH this cabin is NOT handicap friendly. Lots of stairs but was fine for us. Thank You again and I would definately recommend this lodge

Place was great, Matt went above and beyond!
We just got back and stayed up at cabin this past weekend, dec 7th weekend, 2018. Big storm, 18” or so. Asked Matt if the families could stay until late afternoon on the Sunday of departure because of the weather and he was completely fine with it.
That afternoon our car got stuck in the snow and no one would service because we weren’t on main road (although cabin close). Asked Matt if anything he could do. First, he tried his dad who lives close to see if his truck could pull us out. Didn’t have chain sonthst wasn’t going to work. He then offered his in-laws tools which are the neighbors and we were able to dig out in a couple of hours and head home back to atlanta. Can’t say enough good things and very appreciative. We’ll be back! Thanks again Matt!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Disappointing stay
The name of the property is designed into piece of metal which was attached to a rotted post that had fallen over. This is right beside the driveway and is the first thing you see. It was very indicative of the rest of the property. Although listed, there is no coffee grinder. Cutlery desperately needs sharpening. No sponge or anything to wash dishes with.Main level fireplace, non functioning. Furniture so worn out you have to sit on pillows to have any support in the seat. Ceiling fans have years of dust build up. Master Bedroom TV did not work. Sink stoppers broken or missing in bathrooms. Down bath smells do mold. Visible mold on walls. Downstairs smoke detector beeping. Pool table is smaller than standard. No chalk for pool cues. Hot tub leaked water. We were able to fill up and it leaked back down overnight. Tub would not heat up but stayed in the low 90s. Host has covered a hole in the gutter with tape. This gutter constantly leaks into the deck near the entry door. They have a rubber mat placed over the area on the deck. If it’s cold this area freezes. It’s the only wet area on the deck and poses a hazard. My brother slipped and fell because of this random icy spot on the deck. There are other issues like broken furniture piled bedside the house, broken downspout on the ground, stone falling off the wall, that don’t necessarily impact our comfort but just speaks to the property. For 466/night after fees, I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
Our extended family of eleven thoroughly enjoy our stay in this very nice, spacious mountain cabin. Great location in Maggie Valley. Beds were very comfortable as was the living room seating. Kitchen was well stocked. House was very clean. We had plenty of hot water for showers. The pool table was especially enjoyed by five of our group. Host was quick to respond and easy to talk to. Would definitely stay again
Ample room for 8 golfers … open and large LR/DR/kitchen area w/large island … all appliances … comfortable sleeping areas … game room w/pool table/foosball/tv and mini-kitchen. Parking for four vehicles. Only drawback … three full bathrooms. Owner was a perfect host.
Rented this to house relatives for daughters WCU graduation. We had a small get together with family and friends to celebrate on a Saturday. Sunday we got to celebrate Mothers Day! House was perfect, plenty of room!! We all loved the way the house was set up. I have no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely do this again. House was stocked with so many items, which made the cooking for everyone even that much easier. Owner was quick to respond to my questions. I would give this 5 stars all day long! Highly recommended
Stayed here for our yearly truck show. Switched houses due to more people staying. This house had accomidations for everyone in our group. Great place inside and outside. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day a tthe show and in the strip. Cant wait to book it for next year!
This cabin was beautiful, spacious, and very well stocked. Loved the deck and the fire pit as well as the pool and fooseball tables. There was somethingvto do for everyone. Neighborhood was very cute and quiet. Far enough off the main roads to feel secluded, but just a short drive into town. It easily accommodated 7 adults and 4 kids. Communication with the owner was great and we had no issues at all! Loved this cabin!!!
Beautiful Cabin – Spacious, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located!
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. The property is much larger than it appears in the pictures, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The cabin was impeccably clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped.The location is fantastic—just a short drive to Cataloochee Ski Area for skiing enthusiasts, about 45 minutes from Asheville for a day of exploring, and around 1 hour and 45 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, we recommend checking road conditions if you're heading to Gatlinburg, as closures extended our return trip to almost 3 hours. The cabin itself had everything we needed. The pool table was a standout feature—level and well-maintained. The water pressure in the showers was excellent, and there were plenty of rooms to accommodate our group comfortably. Communication with the owners was seamless, and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. This is a fantastic place to stay, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in the area. We can't wait to come back!
