My friends and I were sailing a boat out of Le Marin and were looking for a house for six people that was close to the marina. This house was perfect.
It was simple, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed, and just a short 10-minute walk to the marina. There is a great bakery across the street.
Jean-Raymond was a very helpful host. He and Patrica picked us up at the airport. When we arrived at the house, they realized that there was a water main break in the neighborhood and they went out to buy us bottles of water (even though the outage only lasted a few hours). Despite the language barrier, communication with the host was easy. Overall, they were very attentive to our needs
For the price and location, this house is a great find. Thank you Jean-Raymond and Patrica!

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Extraordinarily difficult check-in process…
Let me start by saying I am not French, I don’t speak French and I am an American… Maybe this is just a place for French people to stay but the check-in process was horrendous!… The owner of the property does not speak a single word of English and even at that has a heavy creole accent… I have a French friend who tried to communicate with him and said he was having a very difficult time understanding him…
There is no address to the property and there is no check in process by yourself… You have to meet him somewhere (extremely difficult not speaking French) and he will take you to the place and then give you a key… As for the house it smelled like old cigarettes and very musty… The beds were extremely uncomfortable, no blankets, just sheets, bathroom towels smelled musty and like old cigarettes and it was very dark with all the wooden window coverings closed… Maybe I’m used to hotel rooms and nicer places but this was not one of them… Not sure I would recommend this place…
when I did finally rendezvous with Jean-Raymond he was very kind and courteous but had a difficult time comprehending that I didn’t speak French and repeatedly kept trying to speak to me in French… fairly frustrating…
Proche des plages touristiques de Martinique mais problème de circulation.
Maison qui aurait besoin d’un peu d’entretien lit, salle de bain . Propre mais d’accès un peu compliqué et très proche de la route
