About this property

White Mountain Chateau | Private Hot Tub, Deck!

Treat yourself to uniquely royal living in an incredible 4-bedroom home! From the hot tub on the deck to the sumptuous primary suite, this property will enchant you with its regal style and luxuries.

It’s easy to see what makes White Mountain Chateau such a special spot for your vacation. As soon as you pull up, you’ll notice the stone façade, vaulted roof, and the two-story cylindrical turret! Throughout the home, you’ll see similarly-themed architectural features such as arched windows and doorways, elaborate woodwork, and rich materials and textiles that lend a distinctly medieval flair to this otherwise modern and updated home.

The living room is defined by the huge vaulted wood ceiling, which is supported by dark wooden beams and brightly illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows. It will be easy for everyone in your group to spend time together in this large, open living area. There are two connected living spaces, each with a large couch and two coordinating armchairs. One area includes a flat-screen TV, where you can settle in for a family movie night, and the other section has a large fireplace. Recline in comfort while you share vacation photos over the fast and free Wifi.

Each side of the living room in White Mountain Chateau has access to large wooden decks with beautiful views. One faces the driveway, while the bigger deck looks out over the wooded landscape below. A patio table with a large umbrella provides a shady place to sit and enjoy the breezes, or sit for a meal cooked on the nearby propane grill. You’ll also find an incredible hot tub beneath a large metal awning. Whatever the weather, you can relax in the hot, bubbling waters and feel all your stress melt away!

The dining area inside is connected to the living area, and sits right beside one of the giant sliding glass doors. You and your guests will enjoy spectacular views as you enjoy every meal! The wooden dining table is high-quality and very large, big enough to easily accommodate eight matching wooden chairs. Whether you sit down for a quick breakfast or linger over an extended dinner, there’s lots of space here to enjoy your food.

If you like to cook, the kitchen in White Mountain Chateau is an absolute dream! This beautifully renovated space has light granite countertops that shine beside light wood cabinets and stainless-steel appliances. The corner windows let in light and ensure you always keep sight of the lovely views outdoors. With all the large and small appliances that you could need, you’ll find it a treat to prepare meals here.

The primary bedroom is large enough to be its own apartment, with a vaulted ceiling and extremely spacious floor plan. The four-poster king-sized bed is surrounded by a fireplace, lounge area, breakfast table, and a coordinating set of wooden bedroom furniture. A sliding glass door leads to the deck outside, so you can enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by the rustle of leaves and the trill of gentle birdsong.

Attached to the primary bedroom at White Mountain Chateau is an impressive primary bathroom. The double vanity has lots of space to store your toiletries and get ready each day, with bright lighting and a wide countertop. The giant jetted tub nearby sits beneath a window, where you can indulge in a lengthy soak after a long day of adventures.

The second bedroom is similarly large, with another four-poster king-sized bed that is accompanied by many elegant furnishings. The dark wood furniture shines against the rust-colored carpet, and heavy draperies around the large window accentuate the chocolate richness of the room. Your guests will appreciate the chance to unpack into the large armoire and feel right at home here. A second bathroom has a double vanity with a huge countertop and several drawers. The shower/tub combo provides the option of a lengthy soak or a quick rinse.

In the third bedroom, you’ll find a queen-sized bed framed with an elegant wrought-iron bed frame and headboard. The rust and chocolate textiles add a pop of color in this clean and cozy room. Your guests will love the attached bathroom, which ensures they will never need to wait in line for their turn for a shower!

The fourth bedroom in White Mountain Chateau is perfectly furnished for a home in the forest. The floral comforter on the queen-sized bed coordinates nicely with the light-wood furniture, including two end tables, a dresser, and a large armoire. The two windows let in lots of light, with curtains that will allow your guests to sleep in long after the sun has risen.

White Mountain Chateau is filled with unique features and amenities, like four TVs, a library, and even a wet bar where you can mix up everything from lemonade to cocktails! Bar stools surrounding the counter offer an inviting spot to sit and enjoy a drink, and the poker table makes it easy to have a game night! If you prefer to spend more of your time outside, take a drink or a book out to one of the numerous patio seats and enjoy the fresh air.

At White Mountain Chateau you can relax on your vacation in a unique, private, and well-furnished home. There is lots of space and numerous activities for everyone in your group, whether you stay inside every day or head out to explore Ruidoso’s many attractions. needs update
House was in disrepair upon arrival. Trash around yard, refrigerator had no drawers, ice maker does not work, can tell the owner has no personal interest---bar area missing refrigerator, windows dirty, bathtub faucet completely oxidized, outside ripped chairs piled up in a corner by hot tub. Garage was piled with paint and construction debris. The management company went above and beyond upon our arrival to the home---they cleaned up the yard and provided drinking glasses, silverware, pots and pans and various supplies which should have come with the home.

Extremely Disappointed in White Mountain Chateau!
Let me start off by saying that I rarely, if ever, have written a review. However, I felt it necessary this time considering the amount of money we spent and what we didn’t get in return. My family stayed here during Spring break week. We found the house to be outdated and not well maintained compared to the deceptive photos on the website. It was quite obvious that an inspection was not done prior to our arrival. We discovered that more than half the locks for the bedrooms and bathrooms did not work. Also, the frame on one of the queen beds was supported by a stack of bricks and wood and was unsafe. I wanted to use the spa tub in the master bathroom, but I didn’t want to wait 45 minutes for the trickle of water that came out to fill up the tub. The grill didn’t work properly. That was disappointing, especially after buying a couple of days’ worth of steaks and other meat for grilling. There was trash in the yard. It was clear that the house was not thoroughly cleaned by the housekeeping service, which was an additional fee. The most disturbing example was that an old baby bottle, with formula still in it, was stuck between the headboard and the wall. What really disappointed us the most was the fact that we did not get the 4 bedrooms that we paid for. Upon arrival, we noticed a significant stench as we walked downstairs, where all the bedrooms except the master are located. The bedroom reserved for the kids reeked of sewage, especially at night. The smell was so bad and lingered out into the hallway so much that we kept that door closed and stuck a pillow at the bottom of the door to try to minimize the smell wafting elsewhere. This issue was not resolved during our stay. As we checked out, we asked the management company to please contact us regarding the fact that we could not use that 4th room, which we paid for and was clearly in the contract. I am positive that if a guest were to break the contract, they would be hit hard for it immediately. However, the management company went MIA after check-out. It has been almost a month since our trip, and we have yet to be contacted about this situation. This is not professional or hospitable. We are hoping that by posting this review and bringing light to our situation, that we will be contacted by the owner of this property in a timely manner. We hope that this will deter the management and owner from dismissing our experience as well as future guests’.

The dishes are stained. I would recommend new dish-ware. Also the electric sockets in the downstairs bathroom don’t work. A lot of spiders inside the house .

Friends getaway
We had a great time. The home appears to be in the process of being remodeled. The furniture was not the same as shown in the property photos, actually this furniture was better. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. There were a few minor issues one of which I forgot to mention on checkout and that is that none of the bathroom locks worked. We had a great time overall and would definitely consider staying in this home again. We loved sitting outside and enjoyed the deer (does) that came by each day.

Not as described
This home has so much potential. I'll start with the good: -Hot tub -Views The bad: -DIRTY! We paid hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees and the house was very dirty. I found an actual fake fingernail under the dining room table. Warm coffee grounds in the coffee pot, cans on the decks, chapstick and trash in the couch. -Extremley outdated eveything. Torn pillow cases, awful sheets and towels, tearing wall paper, no light bulbs in lamps, the list goes on. -There were candy canes smashed into the extra bedding. -The garage was full of crap- old boots, christmas stuff, an old table, trash...again the list goes on and on. We could only park halfway in the garage. -I went to the local walmart to buy blankets to cover the couches they were so dirty and old. I also got towels as there were not nearly enough. - We all felt dirty the entire time. I called the rental company on our way out of town and was told I should have called them to send a cleaner. We should not have to call a cleaner when we get there. We haven't been on vacation in a year due to covid and older family members. This was a big dissapointment. It looked as though the rental company just bought this property and put it on the market without even cleaning it.

Castle Inspiration
My family I really enjoyed our stay at this home. We picked it because we are planning a trip to Ireland & Scotland, and this home has the feel of that & gave us inspiration, so it was a great fit! There was plenty of room for everyone, and the kitchen was large enough to have multiple people in it at once without feeling too cramped. This home has beautiful views from the back of the house! The hot tub was perfect! It is a little outdated, but some of that is part of the charm and really didn't take away from the experience we had.
