Quaint home, great host, very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for the two of us. We would stay here again. FYI The bathroom is small and getting into the house would be difficult for someone with limited mobility.
It just happened to be 4th of July weekend with the most rainfall in the hill country with catastrophic floods. Our little cottage was safe and sound and delicious breakfast nearby!
Angela’s home was the perfect play to stay for a quick trip to Mason. The home was VERY clean, well-appointed, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location was ideal - only one block, and within walking distance, to the Mason square. We loved staying here and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to this area!
This was the perfect stay! The property is warming and inviting. Such a cozy feeling. The house had everything we needed. Had the best nights sleep. Communication with the host was amazing.

This house is adorable. The property manager is very responsive and helpful. Perfect for one or two couples. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend property and the town of Mason!
So comfortable and well appointed little farmhouse cottage. Loved the minimalistic decor - gave room in our minds to appreciate and relax. Mason is a wonderful little town. Everyone so kind - Texas hospitality. Thank you Angela!
My husband and I stayed four nights for the April, 2024 eclipse. We absolutely loved the house. It's super cute, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. It's close to shops, restaurants, and historical monuments. Lovely!
Walking distance to the square. It's a clean and cheery little house. The heater was a little tricky to figure out, but we did. We would stay here again for any trip to Mason.
This sweet house provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Good eats literally within walking distance. Enjoyed coffee and tea on the porch. I fell in love with the window treatments! Only suggestion might be adding some kind of tasteful blackout curtains to the town-side bedroom windows. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
My wife and I prefer staying in cottage style properties when we travel and Aunt Almas Cottage did not disappoint! It is decorated beautifully and in keeping with the period that this house was built and updated tastefully.
We were fortunate enough to meet Angela, the host and owner when we arrived, and she is a lovely lady and very focused on us as her guest. Very accommodating!
We give our overall rating 5 Stars and highly recommend you give this property a consideration when you are staying in Mason or the area!
We have stayed in many vacation rentals but here we genuinely felt we were at a friend’s cute little bungalo. The host was sweetly accommodating; beds comfortable; decor light and tasteful. The notes that some furniture came from family and the personal reviews and recommendations of “don’t miss” shops and restaurants add to the restful feeling that you are safe and well cared-for. One of our favorite memories is sitting on the back porch enjoying the breeze.
Perfect 2b/1ba home literally a 2 min walk to the square. Home was very clean and tidy when we checked in and received some extra tips from Angela who was amazing for our trip. Couldnt ask for a better experience here.
This is a perfect home away from home. The kitchen is roomy, the living room nice size, comfortable beds and very clean. Would definitely stay here again! Communication with the host was easy and responsive.
