Come walk the Pond and Hemlock Creek Paths, breathe in the fresh air, create an Epicurean delight in the Kitchen, outdoor Grill or Fire Pit by the pond, enjoy the magnificent sunsets, take a dip in the pond, fish, recreate, rest and restore.
Summer is a wonderful time to experience the Farm's dramatic forested walkways, the soft light of long summer days and the joy of walking the paths around the pond and hearing the gentle bubbling of the winding creek along the Norwegian Pine Trail.
Wrap up your day with a fire by the pond, (firewood is provided at no charge) or settle in with your favorite evening libation on the deck while watching wonderful sunsets reflect on the pond via the expansive westward views. Finally, at the end of the evening step outside on a clear night marvel at the thousands of twinkling stars.
Sleep well through the night on our premium king and queen beds with individual AC in each room. Enjoy our 400sq. ft. 1st floor Master Bedroom with private bath and sitting area which provides easy access for persons with limited mobility and its own private views of the westward sunsets.
Whispering Willows Farm is just 25 minutes away from the Main Park Road entrance to Rickets Glenn State Park with its magnificent waterfalls, acres of preserved woodlands and the Loyalsock State Forest and state game land nearby. Ricketts Glen harbors Glens Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark. Take the Falls Trail and explore the Glens, which boast a series of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn clefts in this ancient hillside. The 94-foot Ganoga Falls is the highest of 22 named waterfalls. Old growth timber and diverse wildlife add to the scenic area. Ricketts Glen State Park is one of the most scenic areas in Pennsylvania.
World’s End State Park surrounded by the Loyalsock State Forest, is a 780-acre park and offers visitors a multitude of recreational opportunities within a pristine environment. Its rugged natural beauty coursing through the heart of the Endless Mountains landscape provides many photography, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and swimming adventures.
Worlds End State Park is in a narrow S-shaped valley of the Loyalsock Creek just south of Forksville, Sullivan County. Enjoy the 10 Must See Waterfalls and the Loyalsock Canyon Vista, reached via Mineral Spring and Cold Run roads, provides outstanding views, especially during fall foliage.
Overall, Sullivan County is noted for its beautiful scenery and wildlife, creating a perfect setting for many outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, swimming, camping, and many civic events during all seasons. This is the perfect area for a get-away.
While in Sullivan County, take a moment to view three covered bridges, numerous scenic overlooks and museum in Laporte. Enjoy a visit to historic Eagles Mere and browse through the arts and crafts shops, or enjoy the exhilarating Toboggan Slide in the winter. Visit the small towns and villages, stop in at the general stores and visit with local folks, whom you will find very friendly and helpful.
For your safety and convenience, the Farmhouse has a state-of-the-art whole house emergency generator system and security system. We also have an office area with printer, paper, ink, desk chair, and monitor... all free of charge.

Dushore's unique location and close proximity these State Parks makes it the perfect home-base for upstate PA activities. Known as the only stoplight in the area, businesses like the Jolly Trolley, Whistle Stop, Rail Car Shop, and Hotel Harrington reflect the town's railroad and ice cream history. Kast Pond is a perfect spot for fishing or a picnic. St Basil's Church, built by German immigrants, is a picturesque sight on the hill above the town. Founder's Day in August is a highlight of the summer. The outhouse races, keg races and a full day of events draw large crowds. There are several wineries within a 15-minute drive. Five miles from town, hikers can engage the Loyalsock Trail, part of the Appalachian Trail. Founded in 1859, the town is named after a Frenchman who ventured from France to Philadelphia to the French Asylum, where he was given the area of Dushore to farm.

Whispering Willows Farm is owned and operated by Whispering Willows Properties, LLC. The company is owned and operated by four families that are direct descendants of family members who started the farm. We operate the magnificent place to preserve it for family and to share its beauty with our guests.
In 1953, when our parents moved from Brooklyn, New York, to the Endless Mountains of Sullivan County in northeastern Pennsylvania, Whispering Willows Farm was created. They raised five children here, and many more grandchildren spent their summers roasting marshmallows by the pond, frolicking in the creek, and running through the woods.
With much work, they developed the dairy farm adding cows, pigs, chickens, and other critters, expanding the milking, hay and grain barn, and upgrading farm machinery. The farm provided for the needs of the family with meat, milk, cheese, cream, vegetables and fruits.
While no longer an operating dairy farm, the property is still a beloved part of our family — and we want to share it with others when it’s not in use for family events. We are delighted to invite you to experience the cool summer breezes, legendary sunsets, spectacular fall foliage, and quiet winter days that we have all come to know and love.
We hope you will come to love it as much as we do!
