Such a beautiful country escape!! The peace here is incredible. The home is beautiful! The host is very attentive to every detail, we felt very comfortable and looked after. It was such a priceless experience, a place to decompress, enjoy creation, let our creativity flow, and enjoy our family. So much to do and explore, as well as just sit, relax, and take it all in. Not many words to describe how simply healing it was to be here. We will remember this always and hope to be back again. One of the most beautiful and meaningful stays we've had thus far. Thank you so much Jeanine, we are so appreciative to have stayed here. 🙏
Son and his family stayed at the home. Very clean. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable. Spacious outdoor. Very private. Weather was extremely warm and the ground floor bedroom wasn't as cool as the adults would have liked but everything else was excellent. Outdoor patio. An outdoor building chock full of outdoor games. The stars at nights! A Harry Potter - under the stairs - reading cubby. We all loved the place
Driving up to the property was everything I had hope for, remote back roads and farm land all around. The inside of the home looks just like the pictures, old, cozy and well upkept. We checked in on our own but could feel the warming greetings from Jeanine with the greeting card, misc local goodies and warm beds ready for some good night's sleep. The perfect spot to unwind with some backyard games, golf down the road and warm fires in the night.
Only watch out, fridge space is limited so an electric cooker or some ice for cold drinks is recommended.
We loved the place, the house and the property are big, there are so many things to do around, plus it’s super quiet and dark at night to watch the stars. Would go back for sure!
We loved our time here! Host was very kind throughout the whole booking process and made the stay v

Thank you for your kind review. I am so pleased you had an enjoyable time at Quiet Retreat. You were wonderful guests.
This cottage was the perfect getaway for a long weekend with our young children. The property is beautiful with a backyard that is a huge field of crops! An art shed and games shed kept us all very happy. Location is close to a lovely farm. And you can do the beach, beautiful walks, canoeing, treks and fruit picking all within an hour’s drive. It was quiet, peaceful and had everything we needed to keep the kids entertained. Only thing missing was curtains on some of the bedroom windows, but that made us all rise early to enjoy the days. Very clean and well kept property with pretty patio on which we had breakfast overlooking the field. Would recommend to friends
