I hate to even put a review on this place for fear it’ll become popular. This little cabin is the perfect retreat for those who want a dry place with some heat to hang out and don’t mind a little rustic. Host couldn’t be more accommodating.
I'm not a very outdoorsy person, rarely go camping, but this bunkhouse worked well for my needs for one night. The oil drip stove kept the place warm. The host was able to provide a generator that would run the lights and microwave. There was even a TV and a selection of DVDs! There was a couch, table, chairs, and some basic food prep items available. The place seemed to be thoughtfully put together.
The property was very clean and neat with an awesome view of the glacier. There is no indoor plumbing and the electricity a little tricky but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
We rented Nicole’s place for some friends who came to attend our Summit Lake wedding. They loved the cabin- said it was clean, comfortable and had everything they needed. Nicole was easy and pleasant to communicate with and our friends said they would definitely stay again.
We had no issues being Alaskans and fine with outhouses/generators etc. but if coming from out of State or not familiar with cabin life be careful (especially in winter).
This was a very well kept little bunkhouse and it fit my family of 4 very well. It was conveniently located across the lake had close access to the pipeline trail for ATV riding. There is a nice fire ring to have a cozy fire by the bunkhouse and a TV and movies to help the littles calm down in a little space. Overall, very nice, clean, well kept bunkhouse.
Just what we needed for a place to rest between busy days of exploring Alaska. Entry road was a bit intimidating, but no problem for our Nissan Rogue vehicle. Scenery was outstanding. All directions, communication and literature were spot on and very helpful.
My friend and I were looking for a cheap cabin for the night. This listing was above and beyond in price, value, and hospitality. I would highly recommend this venue for any 2-6 party group.
