About this property

A Splashtastic View - Private pool and mountain views!

Planning a family vacation, a getaway with friends, or a couples' retreat? A Splashtastic View is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin with space for 10 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. As the name suggests, this roomy cabin has a private indoor pool and gorgeous mountain views! Plus, entertaining amenities include a steamy hot tub, a pool table and arcade games, a firepit, spacious decks, and big screen TVs.

After pulling up the steep, paved driveway, start in the open concept living room. It's cozy and inviting with hardwood floors, plump sofas, a big screen TV with Blu-ray/DVD players, and a stone (electric) fireplace. Grab snacks and drinks from the nearby kitchen and settle in for movie night or chat around the fireplace with mugs of cocoa in hand. And when you're ready to eat, the kitchen is fully equipped with major appliances, plenty of counter space, cookware, dishes, utensils, glasses, mugs, and even a breakfast bar. The dining table is only steps further and gives you beautiful views while you eat or play board games at the large wooden table.

Need another place to hang out with family and friends? Head to the rec loft that features arcade games, a pool table, a Wii, a big screen TV, and beautiful views of the Smokies through massive windows. Shoot a few friendly rounds of pool, beat the highest arcade scores, and challenge each other to Wii classics. After playing a while, splash around in the private indoor pool downstairs (in a separate building) that boasts floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the views while you swim!

Outside, a toasty firepit is perfect for chilly evenings with s'mores, cocoa, and maybe a little gossip. There's a steamy hot tub, great for soaking tired muscles after hikes in the national park or shopping sprees downtown. And the decks are super spacious and harbor rocking chairs, cushioned seating, loungers, and a picnic table where you can sip coffee, dine, and chat with a gorgeous mountain view. You'll also find a gas grill (gas not included) for cooking out at the cabin.

When you're ready to hit the hay, peel off into a mix of 2 kings, 2 queens, and 1 twin bunk (connected to the master suite). There's an indoor jetted tub in the home, great for spa baths before bedtime. A Splashtastic View also provides a washer and dryer plus free Wi-Fi to make your Smoky Mountain stay more convenient.

Getaway
While the location was beautiful there were some issues with the home. There are dead bugs all over the house and signs that inform you in the house that lady bugs are a protected species and can not be sprayed against. While understanding protecting nature preserving all the dead carcasses in the entire cabin was disgusting. Having young children in the house is not suggested. Several other issues with the property from broken or damaged furniture and equipment to insufficient hot water to accommodate the number of people the cabin will hold. Had to stagger out the showers between the family throughout the day to ensure everyone would have hot water.

Okay but needs some repairs.
Overall we enjoyed the cabin. However, the day we checked in the water did not work, it was repaired rather quickly through. The pool heater did not work until half way through the trip when the gracious pumper repaired it for us while checking on the water situation. The cabin was beautiful but did need some repairs. The banisters were all loose and made us very nerves with the kids.

Middle of construction site
Drove up hill toward the property and couldn’t believe my eyes. We were the only built house. Several houses being built on all sides of us. Construction vehicles, debris, equipment, garbage workers were all I saw outside the house. Construction started at 7 -8 am daily and not quiet. We booked this place specifically for the views and lack of close neighbors. Not at all as it is billed. We should have been notified that the entire surrounding neighborhood was a construction zone. House has indoor pool. It is not accessible from inside the house but rather should use a back door and go down some backs stairs and enter. Not terrible - except the stairs were completely rotted- falling down and tapped off with construction tape. So had to take the kids out the front door (young lady in bathing suit walking past many construction workers staring inappropriately- not pleasant) and down a muddy grass path to the pool- where they needed to scrub their feet before entering pool. This was the biggest let down! Made enjoying the pool a real hassle. Also, there are ZERO lights in the pool area. My kids swam with a lantern. Ridiculous. As far as cleanliness- not the worst I’ve seen but the oven was filthy and house filled w smoke as I heated it from the crap left on the bottom. Kitchen utensils were all dirty as were the drawers themself. Many bugs found in the kitchen drawers. Bathroom in upstairs bedroom had disgusting smear of what looked like blood next to toilet. Called cabins for you which was the managing office and they offered no assistance. Said would have manager call us back and never did. Half the light bulbs in the house were out. Minor issue but the setup for the house is not at all user friendly. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a bathroom but they could only be entered thru a bedroom. So when I was dowstairs I ran upstairs and thru my bedroom to use bathroom rather than going thru someone else’s bedroom downstairs (esp when kids sleeping). Really need at least a toilet and sink on main level that is common space. Spent A LOT of money for this place and couldn’t enjoy the 2 things we were really paying for- quiet and private views from our decks and hot tub and a nice indoor pool. Definitely not worth the money. I found several other rentals while in Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge that I will look into when I return. I have pictures of need. Worse than being disappointed is being disregarded by the management company. They were useless.
