We had an amazing stay at Manoir de Savigny with our extended family last week. The property is very beautiful, characterful, spacious and tastefully decorated. Lots of room and extended chilling spaces for our group of 9 people, aged from 4 to 74! We cooked a lot in the well equipped kitchen.Close to many attractions as well. Eric was a very kind and supportive host. A stay here is highly recommended.
We were traveling with a group of friends, 4 couples total. We had the complete château to ourselve.
Communication was wonderful with our host, from the initial inquiry, our arrival and Checkout. They offered wonderful sightseeing ideas and gave us history on the château. The gardens were amazing! We plan to be back in 2024!
Multi generation family trip to Valognes for D day. Great location…easy to drive to various museums and sites. Close to super market…restaurants not open on weekend due to staffing issues which required a bit of pre planning. The host has a wonderful book of things to do in the area. The size of the house was perfect for our group. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom which was comfortable for all guests. Laundry room available & convenient, but dryer did take multiple times to dry clothes. It was a bit chilly in the house during the evening, but that was to be expected based on the weather and we were prepared. We had all of the dishes necessary to cook in the kitchen and serve our large crowd. We had a bit of an issuing trying to stream Netflix’s, but no worries because they had some games for us to play in the evenings. Overall this was a great location and loved that the boat took the time to tell us the history of the area and house.
We were a group of 11 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Eric was really helpful both before and during our stay. The Manoire is a very special place to stay and is well situated for trips to the beautiful coasts on the east and west of the peninsula. Also for the landing beaches, Bayeux tapestry, lovely gardens and castles of the medieval 100 years War. So much to do! A real Find.
