It Worked
We come frequently to Orlando for USTA tennis playoffs so not our first rodeo. The house was as advertised, does need some updating and repairing. Carpets cut short of baseboard, stains on the carpets, spackeling across walls without paint.
The primary issues were that they’re advertised as fully stocked. Upon arrival, there was fake salt and pepper jars, and no cooking spray or olive oil. They provided a single dishwasher tab, which wouldn’t be as much a problem if there were only six forks and 2 cooking/mixing bowls stocked. In a House that advertised a capacity of 16 people, I guess only half could eat at a time? There was also no Tupperware. We ended up having to go purchase these items. For future renters, bring yourself some basic cooking items like salt, pepper, and Pam, as well as plastic silverware. They had plenty of pots and pans.
Our bathrooms were only stocked with 2 towels in the masters, and one in the bathrooms with the twin beds. While they did provide 2 laundry pods, if you’re here sweating for four days, we needed a little more towel action. Luckily, I brought my own detergent. Would recommend you the same.
We went to the clubhouse to use the pool and tiki bar one day. It was nice in the common area, but when we asked for the blue and white striped towels, they said our house would have to provide it. We didn’t find them until the we were checking out tucked away in a top shelf of the laundry room, and again…2 towels for 16 capacity house. Bring your own towels.
Lastly, there are additional fees to heat the pool (which is attached to the spa and cannot be heated without also heating the pool). You won’t find this until after you’ve booked expecting it. Be VERY clear you want it on, like in a dedicated separate email where you just say, please heat spa upon arrival. We arrived to a cold spa thinking we had confirmed three weeks ahead. The customer service is rapid in responding and had it on by the second evening.
Overall, met the needs with some adjusting but we expected better based on past experiences. And expected for 16 people to have access to basic items 16 people would need, like towels, forks, and pool towels.
