Exuma Sol - Stunning Views from this Oceanfront Beach Cottage

Located on the beach within Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club with magnificent beachfront views and spectacular sunrises. Welcome to Exuma Sol (Cottage 34)!

Our Beach Cottage is perfect for a couple or family wanting extra space with two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We have many extras including a full kitchen, air-conditioning, 3 flat-screen TVs with cable, Wi-Fi internet, washer/dryer, beach accessories, and two comfortable porches with separate entries as well as access to two lounge chairs overlooking the ocean directly off of our front porch. Exuma Sol is an end unit giving you privacy and extra outdoor space only steps from the beach and calm waters of Elizabeth Harbour, with only a short beachfront stroll to Jolly Hall (arguably one of the best beaches on Exuma). Hideaways onsite restaurant (Splash) is only a two-minute walk away and also nearby within a short walking distance is August Bay, Frankie Bananas, and the famous Fish Fry.

As we are part of Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club, our guests will have access to all amenities offered at the resort included in your rental rate with no additional fees. You will have daily access to the resort swimming pool and unlimited use of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and free shuttle service to George Town. There is free parking onsite just across the street.

We truly hope you enjoy Exuma Sol as much as we do and have the vacation of a lifetime. Whether it’s lazy days at the beach or making memories out exploring, you will find that Exuma in so many ways will relax and rejuvenate your ‘Sol’.

Heaven on Earth

I didn't think we could top last year's visit, but I think we just did. Everything was wonderful - the villa, the property, all the staff. Loved everything about Exuma Sol....except maybe the little bugs at night! They seemed to really like us though! Very much want to return, we are working hard to make that happen. Thank you Mike and Karilynn for being such great hosts.

Five Star Stay

We had the most amazing stay at Exuma Sol. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Mike was kind, incredibly helpful and very proactive with communication. The condo was very well equipped with more amenities than we could’ve asked for. From beach towels and beach chairs to reusable grocery bags and a very well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and then entire place was immaculately clean. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Relaxing winter stay

We really enjoyed our escape from the winter snow. The condo was clean and very well kept. Jolly Hall beach was a short walk away. We enjoyed our relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Exuma Sol. It was perfect for our family of 3. The best snorkeling was right out front and ate many meals at Splash. The house was clean, well stocked and Ms. Janetta took excellent care of us. We will be back and plan to book Exuma Sol for our next stay. Thank you for a much needed week away!

Exuma Sol

We had an amazing vacation in Exuma! Our stay at Exuma Sol was perfect! The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds and furniture. Clean and well kept. It was peaceful around the property at Hideaways. The beach and pool weren’t crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful. The owners were great with communication and available if we needed anything. I highly recommend staying at Exuma Sol!

Lovely location and well- equipped home

We enjoyed our stay here. The home is so well-equipped in terms of supplies for a day at the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, cooler, pool noodles, all were appreciated. It’s a great central spot for day trips to the north and south of Exuma. Convenient to have a restaurants on site also

Exceptional Exuma!

Our stay at Mike and Karilynn’s place in Exuma at the Hideaways was superb! The cottage was very cute and in a fantastic location to enjoy the beautiful waters off the coast of Exuma! Our host, Mike, was very communicative and available for questions we had prior to our trip. He made the check-in process an easy experience and shared tips about the island. If we’re ever on Exuma again, we would return to Exuma Sol!

Great location/home

We had a great stay at Exuma Sol. The location and view couldn't be better. Steps from the beach and a short walk to Jolly Hall, one of our favorite beaches. The beach accessories are plentiful. Someone asked if we were owners because of all the stuff we were carrying...beach chairs, coolers, floats, towels...Mike and Karilynn have thought of everything. They were very communicative and even offered help when our flight home was cancelled. Highly recommend!

Paradise

Exuma Sol is the perfect cottage, and the perfect location in paradise. From the initial booking to checking out Mike and Karilynn were so helpful and have everything you need just to relax and have no worries you left something behind at home because they have thought of everything and have it in Exuma Sol. The cottage is just perfect, right on the beautiful turquoise water and sits close enough to everything yet far enough to relax with a book or just enjoy the island breeze. The vibe of the island and Hideaways staff all are so helpful and make you feel right at home. What a fabulous week at Exuma Sol!

First want to say that the communication with the owner was fantastic! Very quick to respond to any questions and checked on us during our stay. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 14&12) can’t stop talking about our week in Exuma! The location of Exuma Sol is so convenient to so many of the beaches and restaurants. The condo was very clean, comfort beds, had all the necessities you could think of for the beach. Also, very well stocked kitchen for cooking. We walked to Jolly Hall Beach a couple of times, swam right out front of the condo, and used the kayaks and paddles boards. We saw a few turtles right in from the condo and a few starfish a little further out. All I can say is don’t hesitate to book your stay at Exuma Sol. I know our family will definitely be booking this condo again!

Perfect Getaway

Mike and Karilynn were quick to respond to any messages before and during our stay. Their place exceeded expectations and was perfect in every way. We loved the central location where we could easily drive to either end of the island to explore. Hideaways staff were super friendly and helpful and it was a bonus to be able to use the kayaks, paddle boards, etc. We also liked that Splash was open long hours and ate there twice, both times delicious food. We didn’t even use all of the items in our place, like the umbrella or beach chairs but nice to know they were there. Plenty of towels and linens, etc. We enjoyed sitting in our lounge chairs a few evenings. We can’t wait to come back someday!

Filled my soul at Exuma Sol

I booked this Exuma Sol for my husband and our 2 kids for half of our 2 stay on the island. Janetta was there to greet us with a smile and Mike was very communicative throughout the stay; I can see why they’re so highly rated. During our first week we had a car a toured the island doing all the tourist things. Our stay at Exuma Sol was our relaxation time and it was perfect. The beach house was clean and comfortable and the location with shuttle to town perfect for a slow down. Jolly Hall is incredible, we loved being able to pack a bag and walk barefoot to such a beautiful spot. The area was so safe and people so friendly we even left the kids home for a few hours and headed to town for a lunch date! Exuma has our heart 💕

Exuma Bliss at Exuma Sol

Talk about a room with a view! Step right outside the front door and VOILA - the absolute description of "tropical paradise"! It is, seriously, the best location possible! We are SO happy that we found this amazing property right on the beach! Mike & Karilynn are outstanding hosts and helped us so much on a last minute "annual honeymoon" getaway. Such a perfect place for an anniversary, honeymoon, or to just celebrate life! Everything you could possibly need is at the cottage. We overpacked - LOL. The property is so comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. The location can't be beat - restaurant/bar on site, free shuttle (short ride to Georgetown), pool, beach, and, of course, the view. An outstanding support staff of Ms. Janetta & Wade are available, if needed, and the staff at Hideaways & Splash are super friendly and helpful. Thank you, Mike & Karilynn, for allowing us to enjoy your gorgeous cottage! We would love to visit again!

November 2021

Would 100% stay here again! The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Do not miss miss the reefs right outside your door for some snorkeling. The onsite restaurant, Splash, was very good! We went there every day/evening at some point in our day! Having beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers was extremely helpful and that is one of the reasons we would stay there again. I still can’t get over how clean everything was upon our arrival. The owner, Mike, was very helpful especially leading up to the days of our arrival. He answered the most random questions we had in a very timely manner. We hope he continues to own this place and the current Hideaway staff remains the same as WE WILL BE BACK! Don’t forget bug spray and drink all the Goombay Smash you can! Thank you again!

The "Sol" of Exuma!

There's nothing I could say that would do this place enough justice. It's perfectly located directly in front of the water, very calm...beautiful and serene. The place itself is beyond clean, full air conditoned, the beds are super comfortable, bathrooms are awesome (one for each bedroom), kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook (except groceries of course). For groceries, I would recommend Exuma Market and for fresh meats, I would recommend "prime island meats". If you dont feel like cooking, there's a restaurant on site but I would also recommend "Shirley's" which is about 2 mins drive down the road. If you're adventurous like we are, rent a boat from Minns water sports and explore the islands and beaches nearby - see the stingrays at chat n chill and the giant starfish at stocking island. The communication was seamless with Mike and Kaitlyn + they checked in periodically to ensure things are going well. They also had people on site to assist should there be any issues but we didnt have a need for that while we were there. Do yourself a favor, don't think about it, just do it. You won't regret your stay.

Perfection.

Myself, my wife and almost 2 year old daughter enjoyed a week staying at Exuma Sol. The other reviews were spot-on with regards to all of the "extras" included with this cottage. There are beach chairs, towels, beach activity sets, and even beach sand toys (a fun surprise). Also many extra towels and even blankets. The Hideaways resort provided a comfortable pack and play for our daughter. The kitchen was well-stocked with all things needed to cook and store meals, even reusable bags in which we could carry homemade food on our excursions. (There are several markets a short car ride away) They also even provided a couple of cooler backpacks - really well thought out details, considering other places we have rented in the past. The beds were also extremely comfortable and individual air conditioners in each main room were great. Communication with Mike was excellent. He responded promptly with any questions we had, which made us continually comfortable. The Hideaway Resort itself was full of kind people. If you run into a woman named Janetta you will likely receive a warm hug, making you feel right at home. The views waking up at Exuma Sol and walking around the property are almost unmatched until you make your way to Jolly Hall beach - a five minute walk down the sand. Don't miss it. Also, if it is a windy day right out front, Jolly Hall is more protected and not windy at all. We cannot say enough good things about Exuma Sol. If you're looking for a home away from home...
