Family friendly Cabin

The Cabin was perfect for our family. It's close to everything in shaver and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay while we were there. Clean house, great amenities, walking distance to town and a short drive to the lake. The only issue I have was that we booked this cabin back in April and less then a week before we were supposed to leave we were asked to change our dates. With 4 working parents and 6 children's schedules naturally that was impossible since we had these dates set since April. I notified the host that we wouldn't be able to and she said well sorry I have to cancel you your last night you were double booked. According to the host the other person had booked prior. So I contacted vrbo and they notified me that it was impossible for me to book if someone already had the cabin reserved. So 1 of 2 things happened. Either she has this cabin listed on multiple sites and doesnt do a good job of managing bookings or she has no problem cancelling or modifying people's trip in order for her to make more money with additional bookings. If she would have notified me back in April that there was an issue no problem. However we had other families that were vacationing with us who had already booked their cabins around the dates that we had secured back in April. It wound up causing a lot of issues for our whole trip. If your dates are flexible this is the perfect situation for you. If your dates are set in stone I would not book with this host.

Living in the Central San Joaquin valley we have always loved the outdoor escape the Sierras have provided. Whether it’s hiking and boating in the summer or skiing in the winter.
As a family we we decided we wanted a mountain vacation home to be closer to the outdoors.

Why they chose this property

What’s a Mountain Home without it being a cabin? When we found the cabin Kinglet there were not very many options because of the recent Creek fire although it only took one look at this property to know it was the one. It offered walking distance to the town’s eateries and shops, Shaver lake was a five minute drive or 10 minute walk, and China Peak is a 20 minute drive. The cabin is a great spot as a homebase to explore more areas the Sierras have such as Huntington lake and Mono Hot Springs

What makes this property unique

The bark live edge exterior epitomizes the cabin feel yet inside offers modern comforts conveniences. Property is surrounded by ancient redwoods and Cedars allowing for fresh air and beautiful views.
