A Room with a View

The five of us agreed that the sun room and rumbling ferries were our favourite part of the experience. What a beautiful location looking out over the bay and ferry dockings. You can hear them come and go and occassionally they blow their sea horns. For us, that just added to the overall experience and ambiance. Zoe was a very patient and thoughtful host! I was a bit of a 'problem guest' and required more maintenance than Id like to admit. Zoe was not only patient with all my messages and questions, but also understanding. The upper area of the home is large and has a beautifully updated kitchen and main bathroom. The kitchen has a a wonderful coffee maker, bean grinder, and we were lucky enough to have it full of beans. There were teas, too. Be sure to bring your own oil and spices (salt, pepper, condiments are there). The decore is traditional and includes some older pieces that appear intentionally chosen and in very good shape. There were three beds with different hard-softness which worked well because we each picked our comfort zones. The neighbourhood is located amongst the forest with trails to explore. Take a walk! It is beautiful. It was the perfect spot for our mini family reunion and Zoe took the time to make sure of it.

Beautiful location and wonderful host

This was a beautiful location, lovely home, and wonderful host! My mother enjoyed watching the BC Ferries operations all day. The kitchen was well appointed, and the home was very comfortable and well maintained. Zoe is the best host - she responded to any questions very quickly and cheerfully. Thank you! Would stay here again.

Home with the Ferry view

The posting for this property is very accurate. Our family really enjoyed watching the ferries dock every day, and after the first day we didn't even notice the hum of the ferry engines or hear the fog horns. We saw several rabbits, deer, hummingbirds, and eagles around the property. We spent a lot of our time at the house on the enclosed patio. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the home is spacious. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful spot

The house is spacious and spotlessly clean, and has clearly been well looked after. The views from the large windows are spectacular and we loved watching the ferries come and go. You can hear the ferries from the house but it didnt bother us. The house is in a residential area so no shops or restaurants in walking distance but the town of Sidney is just a short drive and has everything you need. Lots of shops, galleries and places to eat. Would stay here again.
