Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Easy beach access but not directly on beach

Good condo if you have kids . Like the convience.The property has a snack bar at the pool and a beach bar on the beach. It also has a beach hut that sales floats, beer, and sno cones. Easy to rent beach chairs too. Go down early to rent your chair or rent it a day before hand. Resort is close to the outlet mall and directly across from Baytown wharf. The condo itself was clean but small. Sleeps four ppl comfortably.

Amazing Location, Fantastic Views - Room needs updates

We had a wonderful stay on our spring break vacation. The tower is a very short walk to the ocean and there is a fantastic pool right next to the tower. The resort as a whole is fantastic as well. The value was also pretty great. We loved the view from the balcony as it wrapped around the condo and you could see both the ocean and pool! The condo itself could use some updates and more storage for clothes. Our family 4 ( 2 adults a 10 yr & 5 yr old girls) had enough room but it was a little tight. The full kitchen was also super helpful. Overall a very nice stay.

Great family vacation

Great spot. Not on the beach but a quick walk to the beach. Shuttle was convenient to visit the resort. Beautiful views. Great for a family, full kitchen is great.

Love this place!

It was the perfect place for my husband and I. We walked the beach, played pickle ball, biking and walked all over Sandestin. The grounds are beautiful. We have also rented this condo again for next year.

Condo nice, surrounding property very unfriendly

I want to say upfront I have no complaints about the condo itself. It was just as it was represented in the online listing, and it was very nice - on the corner so you had beautiful views from both sides. And the pool was completely wonderful for my not-quite-swimming kids. Almost half the pool was 3.5 feet or less, so they didn’t need life jackets all the time. The Luau is about a five minute walk from the beach, with several large hotels in between it and the water. Those other hotels are rather protective of their privately owned beaches, and there are signs up everywhere warning you to stay in your designated area. That area is shared with another hotel, and they’ve filled about 80% of their beach with chairs/umbrellas that you can pay exorbitantly for, or share the remaining 20% with the rest of the folks who didn’t want to pay for a chair either (not a small number). If you or your kids want to collect shells, look somewhere else. The beach is almost entirely devoid of evidence of sea life - with the notable exception being the seaweed. Better hope it rains before you come - but definitely not while you’re there - because too little rain results in extra seaweed, but an overnight storm churns it to epic proportions. We were in a non-traditional vehicle - a semi truck. This will not apply to most of you reading, but if you’re driving something taller than six feet, don’t stay here. I share this mostly to give you a feel of the place. We tried to call on our way in to see if we would be allowed to park there. We were directed to call Rick, head of security. We got his voicemail - no callback. Ever. We tried to contact the front desk of the Luau. Rick again. Basically, if you need to talk to anyone actually present at the Luau, don’t, b/c they don’t answer (other than maintenance. They were responsive and helpful!) We paid a lot of money to stay at this property, and with only a few exceptions, we were made to feel like red-headed step-children, because we weren’t in a traditional vehicle, and we weren’t staying at one of the properties closer to the beach. The condo owner was fine to work with, and the condo itself was nice, but I cannot recommend the neighborhood.

Loved Luau!

This condo was awesome! Exactly like the pictures. We picked it because of how close it was to the beach, how beautiful the pool was and the location in general. Many golf courses close by and resort amenities. Only down side was the sofa was older and could have been a little more comfy to sit in. Not a deal breaker. The first couple of days were rainy but the next three or four were sunny the whole day. Best vacation ever! Definitely will be back.

Nice condo with a view!

This property is very well maintained. We had a great view of the ocean and swimming pool from our spacious condo balcony. The swimming pool is very nice and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Also, the property has a very nice outdoor grilling area.

Nice location and resort, not so nice condo

The location is a short walk to beach, which was Great! The condo was needed some updating and cleaning. Upon arrival the screen door was broken off and sitting living room, light bulb was out in living room light, poop was smeared on outside of toilet and looked like floor hadn't been vacuumed in a while. We called to have these issues resolved and they did come change the light bulb but took care of nothing else and never called us back. The couch cushions are completely sunk in, mattress in pull out couch just a box of springs, amiore in bedroom is falling a part, the dining table chairs stained and gross, walls and doors in poor condition and no Wi-Fi even though stated it had. DO Not STAY in this condo, I do recommend finding another in the building.

Gorgeous property. Weather was FREEZING in march

Very cold 40s and 50s but the property was nice. Condo could use some extra blankets and a more comfortable bed and pullout bed. Those are rock hard and the springs from the mattress dug into our sides a little. Other than that, it was a great stay. Wonderful views and good restaurants and nice beach!

Great location and view and a great value.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Luau. I can't say enough about how great the view and location were. The balcony wraps around the side of the condo. You can see the Gulf from the main balcony and the living room. The side balcony has a great view of the pool, a pond, a beautiful par-3 on the golf course, and much of the resort. The master bedroom shares the side balcony view. Very nice to wake up to. Parking and access to the condo is good, although the gate code wasn't easily found on the travel app I downloaded and not provided in any of the emails, so be sure to ask if you don't find it. A shuttle is available to take you throughout the resort and Baytowne Wharf for nightlife and restaurants. The condo shows some signs of light wear, but can not say enough how much we enjoyed staying there. It was a great time and a good value, and look forward to staying again sometime.
