Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, in the Southshore area of Tampa Bay, this waterfront inn boasts beautiful views, a restaurant serving American-Caribbean fare and two pools to splash and swim in. Sunsets over the water are spectacular. Take them in by the Tiki bar with live music, from the pier, or at the onsite restaurant, Sunset Grill. You might even catch sight of a dolphin or manatee. This place is perfectly located between Tampa and Sarasota right on Tampa Bay. You'll enjoy access to a number of amenities including tennis courts, beach volleyball, 3 pools, 2 Jacuzzis, a Tiki Bar and more when you stay here! For an additional fee guests can access watersports activities, bike rentals. Hooks Restaurant offers poolside snacks, drinks and cocktails until 9:00PM. Go for a stroll through the tropical gardens or take a nap on the resort's private beach. If water sports are your thing, the resort offers a number of activities on-site including guided jet ski tours, kayaks, and paddle boating. After lounging at the beach, retreat to your air-conditioned LIVING SPACE. Curl up on the bed and enjoy your favorite shows on cable TV. In the early evening, step out onto the pier and enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful sunset. You can easily connect with friends and family back home, courtesy of the complimentary Wi-Fi.
If you feel like venturing away from the resort, we suggest day trips to visit The Dali Museum, Busch Gardens, the Tampa Zoo, the Florida Aquarium, or The Alley, a bowling alley and arcade. Wished it had a king bed and black out curtains and some info about the area restaurants, directions, menus. We are not very tech-savvy and would have appreciated a notebook with some basic info. The area needs some work! Holes in the ground, lots of clutter under trees, benches by the water falling apart. Still love the area, quiet and safe. We will be back and hope for some improvements! Jets on the hot tub never worked.

Once I booked the reservation we were sent the room/unit number, the code to get in, and a parking pass. That was a big plus! We were also informed if additional parking passes were needed they were available in the room. That was not true. I contacted the host 3 different ways through the VRBO app, called, and texts and never received a response.The decorative pillows on the couch were dirty and dingy. The pillows on the bed had what looked like a dark brown spot. The shower only has a half door which means the water ended up on the mat outside of the shower. The shower is hard to turn on as well. The location was pretty great. 2 restaurants within walking distance. The benches and tables on the property were absolutely awful. They were rusted so bad that we used towels to sit on so we didn't get cut. Now I understand the waves do come up and may cause some damage but this looked like it hadn't been replaced in years. It says there is was a heated pool but it wasn't heated. We asked one of the pool guys was there a button or something and they turned something on but it never heated up.

This place was impressive. It had everything quick walk up the free beach and access to the free pool that also has a hot tub. Beautiful quiet location but convenient to everything we needed. We really enjoyed the location and the view. Saw some dolphins and a manatee. Had a great time at the pool and the bar Hook's which you can walk to from the room. We will definitely be back
