A cozy cabin stay. Very clean and close to the lake. We were able to do all the things we wanted to do from this location. We even saw a bear family walking down the street (from a safe distance).
Beautiful home ,clean and very welcoming. The attention to detail was very obvious, if you want a nice quite getaway, close enough to the lake for fun yet far away enough not to have to hear it all day thos will be perfect. hear screaming childdaydaytwaperfect
Took about 14 hours to cool the place off. It would have been nice to have an AC unit in the 2nd bedroom because it stayed warm the whole time. The wall AC in the living/kitchen area was definitely a plus. All in all the place was great for my daughter and I for a couple of days off.

House was not clean
House smelled of garbage, greasy finger prints all over living room tv, dirty wash cloth in bathroom sink, pile of dirty towels in main bedroom, bunk bedroom had hamper full of dirty towels, only had 1 clean towel and 2 beach towels to use for my stay. 1 star
The cabin was very nice for our family of 4. The fireplace heats the whole place up in no time. The property manager was very nice and easily answered any questions we had. Thank you.
The home was charming and in a great location. The downside was how hot the second bedroom gets. Would have been great having a window a/c in that room.
A few days of vacation… nice cabin. Two concerns… unable to open windows as evenings cooled as no screens on kitchen and living room windows - nice breezes but do not want breezes and bugs.
Really no soap in bathroom for shower or hands. What was provided was inadequate.
Would enjoy more comfortable outdoor seating. Hard chairs do not provide comfort for relaxing.
I loved staying in the pines and the location of this home made for easy access to store, take out food and the lake. I did not understand there would be no laundry available until we got there (I missed the email and it was not on the listing) and the driveway definitely will not fit 2 cars unless they were REALLY small. It was really a scramble when we got there because our boat barely fit on the tiny streets and no way to turn around. The ease of check in was great and everything was spelled out so no questions.
The house was cute and cozy and we loved the view from the deck! My kids loved scootering in the backyard and LOVED the bunk bed. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our week in the mountains! Only down side was the bathtub needed a better cleaning and the plug didnt work so I had to shower my kids everyday (2 and 4 yr old-- not easy) and the trash had not been taken out when we got there, but overall great experience renting this cabin!
We enjoyed our extended weekend stay here.
A short 5-10min walk down the hill gets you to the lake. The water was a bit low, but that left the sand island in the cove exposed, worked out perfect for day camp with the kayaks/paddle boards. The rock jump and rope swing was right across the cove, but with the water a bit low at the time, it didn't look safe.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, spent most of the time on the lake in the day, and down at Ducey's area at night.
Worked out great for our base home.
AC worked really well in both the living room and the master bedroom, would be good to have another one in the extra bedroom, my daughter slept on the couch in the living room, and she had no complaints.
Master bed was very comfortable.
Loved the balcony (If some of the trees were trimmed you'd have a view of the lake)
1 morning we did see a bear wandering right below the balcony, that was pretty exciting, luckily no one was down on the street in the area.
Also saw 2x bears in the Ducey area, the rangers were there and kept the situation safe.
Best to be careful in this area with that and keep those garbage cans closed.
The backyard area was great as well, enjoyed the gas fire pit to finish off every night.
Kitchen seemed to have everything you'd need if you planned on cooking, but we just used the fridge.
Phone service was not good, but expected in the area, so could make it difficult to find the place, I took screenshots of directions before leaving so it worked out for us.
The internet worked great in the house.
Melinda was awesome, there was a big fire in the area right before our trip, that cut out electricity the day before our arrival, which threatened our extended weekend trip, but she communicated very effectively with giving the info she had and was willing to refund if the power wasn't restored.
We drove up anyways without knowing what to expect, the electric came on a few hours after our arrival, so it worked out perfect.
Would definitely consider living on the ledge again
Thank you Melinda, your place is very nice, the family loved the decor and overall ambiance and we enjoyed our stay
We owned a cabin around the corner for 25 years as a child, so it was nice to stay in the old stomping grounds. Nice cabin, had all that we needed, would rent again, Cheers!
This place was just like the title perfect. I took my 3 year old and mother on a little vacation to our favorite spot and this home home did not disappoint. Close to everything we needed. We had a great time at the lake and exploring the surrounding neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful property and area. But Wi-Fi didn’t work, no soap or shampoo or sponges or gas for the grill and no communication with us when we reported these issues
We loved our stay here. The house is adorable: very well maintained with everything you need to be comfortable. The deck overlooking the neighborhood is a lovely place to sit, drink tea and enjoy the view.
Amazing property with all the amenities. I cannot thank the owner enough for all they did for us. We were stuck due to the snow and Melinda changed her plans so we could stay another night. She brought us chains and sent a plow to get to us. Great communication and I cannot wait to come back. Thank you so very much!!!!
We had the best stay here!! Just a short walk to the lake. Very clean. It was safe for my one year old. Simple, but beautifully decorated. We were comfortable and will 100% be returning next year!
