This ancient home could not be more charming! Updated bathrooms and Kitchen are a nice balance. Wonderful location and excellent host offering parking and easy entrance with keybox. Thank you Stephanie!
This apartment has a great location AND A RESERVED PARKING SPOT. Both of these are very important when deciding where to stay. The owner, Stephanie, was very helpful to us upon our arrival.
My only comment is that the stairs are steep, narrow. This is not a good place for people with mobility issues.
Totally enjoyable. Filled with history, done with artistry & taste. The owner/host must be a set designer. We spent a wonderful night in this very ancient home. I saw the brightest North Star from my tiny bedroom window under the eaves. Mr brother & his wife had the Master Suite which is a story in itself.
It is a very quirky old house right in the centre of Honfleur with the bonus of its own dedicated parking in a garage located about 4 mins walk away ( albeit with a bit of a hill to climb) We have a large car which fitted in the garage easily enough.
It is on 3 floors and the staircases are very narrow, twisty and steep. Bathroom, living room and kitchenette on the middle floor and bedrooms on the top floor. Would be unsuitable for small children or the infirm. We are in our 70s and I found them difficult. It would be difficult to manage large suitcases. However, overall we found it very comfortable with our grandson. It is very attractive and filled with interesting objects and paintings. Certainly the complete antithesis of a boring hotel room
The WiFi is excellent and it never failed. There was a washing machine and dryer but we didn't use them. Plenty of crockery and glasses
The coffee maker is a Nespresso machine. We would have liked an ice cube tray in the fridge if looking to nitpick.
The second bedroom is quite small. The bathroom was modern with a good shower and there is a second toilet in the laundry room on the ground floor. Every room is filled with interesting objects. It is certainly a place we would return to, provided that our mobility does not deteriorate. It was useful having a teenage grandson with us to manoeuvre our bags!
(All our communication with the host was in French, so if you do not speak or understand French, that may be a problem) A great stay.
