About this property

Tettegouche Lodge is a secluded 32-acre property near Finland, MN with a spacious 8-bedroom, 7-bathroom vacation rental house nestled into the hills three miles inland from Lake Superior. A spectacular stretch of the Baptism River runs through the property directly below the Lodge with ideal, private fly fishing locations and a swimming hole. Tettegouche (pronounced Tet-a-gooch) means "gathering place" in French and with a capacity of up to 18 guests, the Lodge is perfect for multi-generational or multi-family North Shore vacations, yoga or corporate retreats, intimate Northwoods weddings, writing, art or photography workshops, and book club or scrapbooking getaways.

Remaining summer 2024 dates have a 4 night minimum; Generally mid-June through mid-August require a six-night minimum rental and reservations the rest of the year only require a three-night minimum stay.

Intimate wedding stay

We rented the lodge to celebrate our union ceremony and were absolutely blown away by the lodge. The pictures really do not do this gem service, it’s all the better in person. Family was breath taken by the river view and the splendor of the lodge. With 16 people it felt absolutely comfortable and not in any way crowded. The stay blew our expectations away! It was the north shore location of my dreams.

Beautiful property

What an amazing place ! We stayed as a group of 18 people and everyone was impressed how spacious , beautiful and clean this place is . We will definitely keep it in mind for our future church retreats.

Great log cabin!

This was a great place for us all to stay. We were supposed to be snowmobiling, but without snow we went hiking and touring the lovely state parks in the area. The lodge was spacious and had plenty of room for gathering as well as separate spaces if we wanted a little privacy! The kitchen was lovely and had all the things we needed. The area is very beautiful! Highly recommend Tettegouche Lodge for a larger group gathering!

Absolutely stunning

This property is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. We had everything we needed and more. All the rooms were very spacious and there were plenty of common areas for the whole family to be together.

Winter family getaway

Great property! Clean and well kept! Peaceful surroundings, loved snowshoeing in the woods as well as nearby hiking and snowmobile trails.
