House Description: This is a hidden gem just a short walk to Main Street in Chatham! The main house has three zones of central air and has been beautifully renovated. The first floor suite has full bathroom with heated floor and extra deep tub as well as a walk-in closet. With four bedrooms, this house is suitable for two families to share. This home features outdoor and indoor living at its best! Walk one minute to the large town playground and five minutes to Oyster Pond Beach. Drive five minutes to area beaches. Enjoy a burger at the Red Nun just around the corner, and walk three minutes to the shops and restaurants of downtown. The patio in the shape of a home plate features a propane fire pit and outdoor kitchen. Take advantage of the relaxing enclosed outdoor shower. Just past the backyard fence is the best field in the Cape Cod baseball league, the top amateur league in the country. When you are lucky enough to experience a home game, it is a truly magical family atmosphere. You will have the best view in your own backyard when sitting in the lifeguard-chair-style stadium seats (also a nice spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails)! The yard is shaded and private. My wife have lived in Amesbury, MA for over 25 years and have raised both of our children here. Our daughter, Sydney, is currently at Rollins College in Orlando, while our son, Andrew, is a rising senior at Davidson College in North Carolina.

My wife has been a high school English teacher at Amesbury HS for over twenty years, while I have been the high school athletic director for Dracut HS (96-99), Newburyport HS (1999-2013), and currently Masconomet Regional HS.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law, both optometrists, live in Sterling (MA) and own the house with us and also have two children. Ryan recently graduated from Curry College and Megan is at High point University in North Carolina. The cousins are very close and love spending time together.

Why they chose this property

This is our family's dream place to be. We love the downtown, baseball, the people we have met, and the beauty of the Cape!

What makes this property unique

We are within walking distance to all amenities, including shops, restaurants, Chatham Bars Inn, local grocery store, Laundromat, CVS, local beaches, etc. We are also the best seat in the house to watch the Chatham Anglers baseball team, part of the best amateur baseball league in the country. While we try to supply overnight basics such as basic soaps, spices, oils, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, laundry soap, and plastic wraps, these items do get depleted. Please plan on picking up paper towels & TP when you grocery shop. Thank you!
