About this property

Cosy Log Cottage in Rural Location

The location, views, fresh air and ruralness of our property lend for a relaxing stay. Our small log cottage, adjacent to the main house, is a perfect retreat to unwind from a busy day of outdoor activities or a break from mainstream life.

The accommodation is close (walking distance) to biking, hiking and cross-country ski trails and is only 16kms from the base gondola at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

The cottage is all open plan and fully appointed to suit self-catering guests wishing to spend more than a couple of days in and around Revelstoke.

The whole interior of the cottage is beautifully finished in a mixture of pine, cedar and hemlock. Upstairs is well lit by windows on each of the 4 gables and comprises a queen sized bed, (plus a single and a roll-away bed by request).

The downstairs of the cottage has a small, open-plan lounge with seating, smart television, a log stove; kitchen with cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher plus all crockery and cooking utensils; bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.

Bedding, towels, tea towels, dish cloths, cleaning products, iron & ironing board are provided for your convenience.

An outdoor hot tub is available for your use (winter/ski season only - beginning of Dec).

Perfect Cabin Getway

Perfect log cabin vacation! I highly recommend staying here if you're in Revelstoke. The hot tub was perfect, the wood stove created the right ambiance, the location was great.

Cozy home away from home

This is our second time staying at the Macphearson cabin and we loved it again. It has everything we need, the bathroom has been nicely remodeled, and the hot tub is lovely! Thank you for another great stay.

Quaint Mountain Cottage Close to MacPherson Trails!

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage during our ski & work vacation. The cottage has all the amenities with a newly renovated bathroom, wood burning fireplace, private hot tub and comfy beds. The best part was it’s pet friendly, so we could bring our pup along for this vacation. It’s less than 1 km from the Nordic ski & mountain bike trails (MacPherson) and only a few kms away from Begbie Falls. Close enough to town, but peaceful & quiet for those who like to get away from it all. Great hosts, clean and well equipped. We will most definitely be back here to stay again!

Great Stay in a Beautiful Cabin

Our stay at this cabin was very nice. Graham was especially thoughtful and prepared a fire for us upon arrival! The wood-burning fireplace brought a warm atmosphere, and the hot tub was a great bonus. The only thing that somewhat shocked us was that the cabin was directly beside a larger lodge, and wasn't as remote as we thought it was based on the photos from the Vrbo posting. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay and the hosts were excellent.

We liked our stay very much

Good contact to hosts, nice house, quiet and clean. Special thanks to our host Graham who saved our evenings outside as he gave us a mosquito repellent that kept the terrace clean from these naughty insects. Very comfortable and spacious bathroom/shower. Only thing was the mattress. Maybe it was too old or too soft for my back. All the windows were equipped with mosquito nets. Over all a very beautiful stay.

Schönes Cottage

Ruhige Lage 15 Min. ausserhalb von Revelstoke. Schönes Holzblockhaus auf 2 Etagen. Sehr sauber. Gute Betten. Insektenschutzgitter waren vorhanden und notwendig. Hausbesitzer wohnen in Hapthaus direkt daneben, keinerlei Störungen. Wir können das Cottage gerne empfehlen.

Revelstoke

Wendy was the perfect host, available to answer questions while maintaining your privacy. Cabin was super clean, in a quiet neighborhood but close to town. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back some day!

Great Little Cottage

It was exceptionally hot in Revelstoke and tough to find anywhere to get away the heat but we really enjoyed bbqing on the front patio, or sitting on the back deck with a cocktail. The ambience in the cabin was lovely, rustic and cozy, while modern bathroom with multi-head oversized shower was well used to try and keep cool. Wendy and Graham are lovely people and keep stunning gardens on their beautiful property just a short distance from Revelstoke

Perfect for a summer getaway

Greeted by our hosts on arrival w e found everything for a comfortable stay. The cabin is well appointed and sparkly clean. Kitchen contained everything needed to prepare and cook our meals. Lovely setting.

Relaxing stay in Revelstoke

The cabin is very comfortable and cozy with great views of the mountains, in quiet neighborhood,10 min drive from town. Perfect for a couple, but it would feel crowded with +3 adults. Full stocked kitchen, linens, soaps, was nice. Hot tub and fireplace (with plenty of dry wood and kindling) was the highlight! They are building a lodge on the main property, very close to the cabin, so I worry the quiet/private nature of the cabin may be impacted in the future but it wasn't open/operating yet. Hosts were friendly and checked if we needed anything, but gave us our privacy otherwise. Lovely property overall! Thank you!

Beautiful Accommodations for Skiing

We stayed here for our first ski trip to Revelstoke and loved it! The cottage is cozy and in incredibly quiet for a great night skiing after a day of skiing. I would definitely come back. Excellent!

Wonderful

If you are looking for a 5 Star hotel then look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a 5 Star experience then book the Cosy Log Cottage. The cottage has everything you need and is very relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again then next time we visit Revelstoke.

rural getaway

Cute little cabin. Quiet road, can walk to the cross country and snow shoe trails or drive 15 to 20 minutes to the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. The hot tub is really nice after a day on the slopes. The wood stove is wonderful in the morning to take the chill out and warm the cabin. We would recommend this for a quiet romantic fun get away.

A fantastic little cottage

I rented this place for a week with my brother. The place is very cosy, we really enjoyed the wood stove. The location is somewhat remote, at a bit more than 10m drive from Revelstoke. The place is extremely calm, and far from everyone. We really enjoyed this aspect of it. The place is on the property of the owners, but they did not intrude at all. They really respect their customer's privacy. They were here to help when we needed something, but left us alone otherwise. The sleeping area is very simple however. The beds are upstairs, which is a mostly open space with a queen, a single and a foldable bed. We were good with the arrangement, but this may not work for renters who require private bedrooms. I warmly recommend this place, we really enjoyed our stay :-)

Very relaxing and the town is beautiful and the activities endless, if you’re interested in hiking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling ,walking the river trails, or just relaxing in a hot tub then this is the place to visit.
