On the Lovns peninsula near Hvalpsund you will find this charming cottage in a beautiful garden surrounded by forests and heather carpets. High hills, deep gorges with dense oak growth and steep slopes sloping down to the coast characterize the landscape. On the peninsula, several marked trails run through the partly protected land, and Lovns Lake with an extensive bird sanctuary is also located here. The surrounding area of Skive is reminiscent of a prosperous past, among other things the manor house Hessel from the years around 1391 today houses an agricultural museum with changing exhibitions and events. From the atmospheric marina in Hvalpsund you can take the ferry to Salling, where in the village of Farsø you can visit, among other things, the memorial room for the author Thit Jensen and a museum for his more famous brother Johannes V. Jensen. Also the Stone Age Center Ertebølle tells here about life and nature in Ertebølle 6-7000 years ago. In the immediate vicinity of the cottage and along the entire 190 km of coastline in the Skive area attract beautiful, child-friendly and particularly peaceful beaches. Maritime atmosphere is also provided by the small ferries that transport visitors and locals from place to place.
