A perfect place to spend spring break

The location, layout, and cleanliness of the house were great. We had a blast escaping reality for a few days and even got to know the neighbor’s cat. I hope to get back sometime soon

Winter Time at the Beach

We enjoyed our little ocean front cottage! Plenty of room for two couples. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the location and parking were good.

My family and I had a WONDERFUL stay in Holden Beach at Charisma! I’ve always wanted to stay on the East End and it didn’t disappoint! The view from the deck was beautiful! We would definitely stay here again!

Would Not Recommend

This house might be ok for a fishing camp but is not suitable as a vacation home. AC is freezing cold on one side and barely blows air on the other side of the house. Bedrooms lack bedside tables and lamps. Dresser drawers do not have stops and easily fall out. No coffee table in living area. Cooking pots and pans are old, corroded and scratched and need to be replaced.

We love Charisma

We love the east end and Charisma is the perfect home to stay in. We have stayed 4 times now and have it booked for the fall and intend to book for summer 2025 as well. Its always so clean and has everything we need. Its so comfy and cozy!

Our stay at Charisma

The view of the beach was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Mermaids restaurant was spot on with their cooking. The house was small compared to others in the area but it was just exactly what we needed. The stairs weren't terrible to climb. We loved our stay.

Beachfront Bargain

This is a great house as far as price and location go. It is spacious, has super easy access to the beach, and a great back deck. It comes with all the necessary amenities for a great vacation. Our family of six felt comfortable and right at home. Any concerns were negligible and had no affect on our overall vacation experience. We would 100% rent this house again in the future.

Needs considerable updating

Location is away from crowded west end of island and spectacular views. If you require deluxe accommodations, this not the place for you. Issues with appliances, blinds, furniture, flooring, decks, deck furniture and exterior clutter all detracted from our vacation experience.

Great Location

It is the perfect location to entertain small children in the tidal pools at low tide. Well stocked kitchen which made cooking meals much easier. This was the first time my family has rented a house at the beach where linens were provided and the beds were ready for sleeping upon arrival. That certainly made our vacation more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful week at the beach. Our family has stayed at this house many times over the years and always enjoyed the location. It did not disappoint this time either. We had the pleasure of seeing a deer wandering between the house and dunes. Even though we were on the porch and talking it did not spook the deer.

Perfect location

Some of the concerns voiced in earlier reviews seem to have been addressed. The mattresses seemed to be new, the floors have all been replaced, the interior repainted. It is a classic "in the old style" beach house which is what we wanted. Have already booked it for next year.
