The dishonest and uncaring personalities of the manager and owner were disturbing. Especially their unsafe covid practices. Our stay was for two months, and we wholeheartedly recommend visiting the Coachella Valley, though. Some reasons we can not recommend renting this house:
-My son was very sick on the departure day, and was self-isolating until he received his covid test results. The manager still required our departure that day. We relocated to a hotel while he was sick, so he unnecessarily came in contact with many other people. His covid test turned out to be positive
-The manager said the cleaning crew would be coming on the departure day, which would unnecessarily expose them to the virus
-The monthly rental was significantly higher than marketed
-Access to our mail in their locked mailbox box was denied, and our stay was for two months over the holidays
-They made a $450 damage claim for dog fur, and submitted photos they took from before the housekeeping crew cleaned using our prepaid $400 cleaning deposit. In addition to the cleaning deposit, I had already paid professional cleaners four days before departing, to ensure the cleaning time would not exceed the deposit amount
I hope you have a wonderful stay in the Coachella Valley. Joshua Tree National Park is breathtaking.
