Wonderful home! Enjoyed the ocean view and listening to the waves after a day of exploring. The home was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and the grill worked well. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Very clean and beautiful home! We fit 6 people comfortably. Plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, spices, and the communication with the owner was smooth and quick.
We have rented this house for three consecutive years. It’s very reasonably priced, and a great location. We’ll book it again next year. The house does have stairs if that’s a problem for you. Ocean, airport, wildlife, and golf course views without being on the main road. Very quiet and peaceful!!
This is a wonderful place to stay! The house has everything that is needed and the host responded promptly to any questions. Looking forward to staying there again!
This house has a great view of the ocean and is walking distance from the lighthouse and other Shelter Cove highlights. Comfortable beds and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, etc to cook for the family during our stay. We loved our stay here!
Our stay was great and pretty much exactly as described on the listing. Amazing ocean view. Only drawback was that the downstairs area smelled strongly of new paint, but I imagine that will subside over time. Highly recommend!
Family was able to gather and enjoy a small wedding on Black Sands Beach. The property was terrific for everyone to be together but also have their own space when needed.
Spent a few days at this lovely property with three friends while doing some hikes on the Lost Coast. Very comfortable accommodations that worked perfectly for our group. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Large windows provided views of the ocean and the resident deer population. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had the easiest time coming & going that we almost regret not spending more time in the home. We had everything we needed and had zero complaints. My children loved the lower level entertainment room while the parents were able to have some peace and quiet upstairs. Will definitely look forward to staying again the next time we visit!
Went to see the redwoods and wanted an interesting place to stay. Picked this house in shelter cove. House had great views and was walking distance from the ocean and a couple restaurants. Good communication from host.
The location was beautiful, we saw deer several times a day. Fun to watch theAirplanes come in and out of the airport.Comfortable accommodations, had most everything we needed to cook daily meals.Washer and dryer very convenient for a large family with kids.Ping pong was fun, kids loved the all the outdoor space. Easy to walk to all places of interest. Easy drive to blacksand beach.Overall a wonderful space.
Beautiful home, nicely furnished with comfortable beds, Everything we needed was there! Close walk to the beach, tide pools, restaurants and store. Comes with a great ping pong table that we enjoyed! The communication with the owners was excellent! We would rent this place again in a heartbeat!
Had a wonderful time hiking, playing golf, fishing, riding bikes, playing cards at night and reminiscing when we lived here in the summers in the 70’s and 80’s so my husband could fish commercially for salmon. This place and the owners exceeded our expectations!
We’ve been visiting Shelter Cove since the 90’s. We normally fish for salmon, bottom fish and crab. Fishing is always good and we always leave with ice chests full of goodness. This year was no acceptation, accept for salmon. My grandkids always enjoy tide pooling and they enjoyed some nice low tides. Golf was fun as well. Shelter Cove is just a great place to vacation. The house was right in the middle of everything and very comfortable for everyone.
We come to Shelter Cove every year for the 4th of July and have stayed at various rental homes over the last 5 years. This by far was the best one for the price, location and the house itself. It was super comfortable and clean and had everything we could possibly need. We will definitely stay here every time we come to the cove to visit. Thank you
Fantastic property in great spot near the action in Shelter Cove. Great communication with DG and very clear house instructions (especially check in). House was in immaculately clean condition. We loved the set up, views, and modern appliances in the main social space of the house. It is a short walk to the brewery and other attractions in Shelter Cove. Would highly recommend!
This place was wonderful for our family on our trip to the Avenue of the Giants (Giant Redwoods). The views were incredible and the house had a little bit of everything for everyone. Plenty of room for our family (4 adults & 2 young children) to spread out and come together. It was walking distance to the local brewery/restaurants/market, which was a huge plus for us after the long drive up. If we ever find ourselves headed up to the Lost Coast again (and I'd love to since it should be a "California Bucket List" item for everyone), I would 100% stay here again. The Host was wonderful in their communication and we had everything we needed. Our family who had traveled in from out-of-state were blown away with how wonderful this magical little town and this great home. Thank you for letting us stay here!
