Check in process was aggravating

Overall, we were comfortable and okay with our stay. Few things were a little aggravating. Check-in was completed "in person" therefore the property manager had to be onsite to let us into the property and give us a tour. Due to this being a Friday, she had multiple check-in therefore when we arrived to Shreveport, we had to wait about an hour for her to get to the property. We did give her an approximate time, which we did run late by we were driving 5 hours and with stops and eating, it took us a little longer. Also, there was a screw driver holding the back door closed which made us a little nervous. And the turn on and off the kitchen light, we had to use a knife to reach way behind the refrigerator because it was blocked. Also neighborhood was not the best. It says historic district, which it very well may be, but it was a bit sketchy area. Also lots a weird rules like "couch is not for laying." which we book vrbo as our home away from home so felt a little put off by these. We also had to wash all the dishes before using because they were dirty. Overall the house is an older house that was probably 80% remolded. Honestly did not interfere with our stay. We were generally comfortable and TVs worked and we stayed warm. Brookshires was located closely nearby which was convenient as well as a Wendys. Only a 10 minute drive to the casinos which was a plus. Once again, not a bad stay, but just want people aware of all the quirks. Thank you.
