The Cook's Wall Cabin

This small L-shaped cabin has a comfy queen sized bed, a couch in a sitting area, and a kitchenette. There is a very small bathroom with a shower. It has a screened covered porch for your morning coffee or a meal at the end of your hiking, climbing, biking, zip-lining, kayaking or tubing. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, a small crock-pot, coffee maker, an electric griddle, as well as a gas grill outdoors with a burner. It is furnished with pots, pans, dishes, coffee, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper and utensils. We have a strong internet connection for work or entertainment.
Enjoy a private fire at your own fire pit and a beautiful view of the mountain from our gazebo. Sit and relax near one of our two water features . We share a yard but are happy to have you enjoy all our property has to offer.
We are 9 miles from the Hanging Rock Park entrance, less than a mile from Neatman Creek Disc Golf Course, 5 miles from Carolina Ziplines and 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain State Park, Pilot Mountain and Jolo Wineries, Midsummer Brewery, Danbury and Dan River Company (kayaking and canoes), less than 1/2 mile from Snyder's Barn. We are 30 minutes from Winston Salem for dining and arts! Go to hangingrock.com for information about activities in the area.

Lovely hosts who live on a nice side road. Sweet spot not far from Hanging Rock State Park. My 7 year old daughter loved the two small dogs on the property, the zip line, and the tree swing. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for roasting hot dogs in the evening. The screened in porch was great for morning breakfast time and sipping tea. Bathroom is small but does the job. Bed was comfy... All in all a great time!

Cook's Wall Cabin

The Cook's Wall Cabin was a clean, very relaxing place to stay before hiking at Hanging Rock State Park. The view of the mountain from the gazebo was great, as was the unobstructed view of the night stars. Hosts were friendly and communicative, providing many suggestions of things to do in area. WiFi was excellent throughout the property. I'd definitely book again.

Excellent property!

The Cook’s Wall Cabin was perfect for our stay on our trip to Hanging Rock State Park. Very close to the park entrance and in a quiet, beautiful location. Our host, Eric, was very accommodating to all our needs. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in that area.

The property was beautiful and the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and well maintained. It was a great touchdown spot ahead of my trip to Hanging Rock. Eric made check in easy and was a great host with great recomendations for food and hiking. I was only there 1 night by myself but would love to come back with the family for a longer visit.

Peaceful little cabin

My wife and I stayed two nights here and it was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin is behind the owners house but they have put blinds in the cabin and also have a privacy fence between the house and the cabin so we did have privacy. They provide you with a remote to open the gate so you can come and go as you please. The cabin is small but perfect for a couple just looking to get away. We brought a puzzle and assembled it during our stay.

Wonderful stay, comfortable bed and many thoughtful extras!

We stayed because we hiked Pilot Mountain and visited the hanging rock state park. It was close to both places and also the Jolo winery. It was our birthdays and the owners put sparklers and two little cakes in our room!

Cute and comfy little house. Thoughtfully prepared for guests with even tasty snacks for guests. Beautiful area as well and close to Hanging Rock state park. Only challenge was the small bathroom. But the overall package was worth it!

Mountain hideaway

Owners were wonderful. Cottage is quaint and definitely would return. The gazebo had a great view of the mountain and sunset. The property itself had gardens and water features and made us feel like we had found the eacape we were looking for. When asked for any special considerations, the owners went above and beyond to make our stay very special. Would highly recommend!!

Sisters' getaway

The house was small but just right for us two to stay for 2 nights. After a hike to hanging rock, it was nice to have a great place to sleep. The bathroom is small and I'm a big girl, but it worked, Lol. We road our motorcycles and the first night we were too tired and didn't feel like going out but thanks to the host they left some trick that tides us over until the next day. Thanks Eric and family

I was looking for somewhere to relax and wind down and that's exactly what I got! This adorable cabin is tucked away on private property and it's fresh and clean and well cared for. If you're worried about the dogs....Don't Be; I actually wished that they would've interacted with me a bit more (LOL). The homeowners are very welcoming and greet you at the gate to give the rundown and they genuinely welcome you to walk the property freely. Anytime that I return to the area I will be checking if this cabin is availability first.
