This was my 2nd time staying at this condo and it was wonderful. The place is perfect for me and my family. The view is great im hope to stay again soon.
The beach view was amazing. Able to see as far as possible. Clear and clean. Kitchen was perfect for just the 2 of us. Small beach was nice and the people were extremely friendly, even told us a few secret places.
A homey building, so relaxing and comfortable. Just what we wanted with a gorgeous beachfront view. We saw lots of turtles, whales and magnificent sunsets from an ocean facing lanai. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to make most of our own meals and snacks. The area is not touristy and is a bit scruffy but we didn't let that get in the way of enjoying this handsome property. The pool is great. We can't wait to return!
Over all we had a great stay here. The communication was great with property management. We had one issue when we arrived the first night and they responded right away and we're there the next morning, and fixed the issue. The beach was quiet and beautiful. I would stay here again.
Loved staying in this unit, sunrises/sunsets gorgeous, beautiful beach, not crowded, saw whales and turtles every day. We watched some of Buffalo's Big Board Surf Contest at Makaha which was super fun! Easy check in/out, very friendly security people.
Had two different units one for daughter's family and one for us. Both units were as expected as we have stayed here before and enjoy the Hawaiian Princess a lot. Beach is magnificent and staff is very helpful. Will return again.
All the reviews are correct…it’s out there. Neighborhood is not touristy but you can’t beat the price and the view! The beach was lovey to swim at and the pool was refreshing after. Everything worked smoothly and the security staff on site were friendly to interact with.
My husband’s #1 request was that we could look out over the ocean. You cannot get a better ocean view than this- it was amazing. While the property wasn’t luxurious, it was clean and totally accommodating to these 2 retired teachers!

Awesome view! Beautiful beach although not a safe beach for children. Main and sofa bed were comfortable. Needs: One of the two living room shades which cut the afternoon sun was missing. When I return to Waianae to visit family, I would return.

This place needs a lot of work
We really did not stay because we walked in, found every inch to be disgusting, and in didrepair, so we got our money back and left. Until this owner is more accommodating, I don’t recommend it.
Overall a great stay. The view and beach was wonderful - some of the best in all of Hawaii. We saw turtles and whales from the lanai. I’ll miss listening to the waves crash from the lanai. The beds were very comfortable, bedroom was nice and cold with ac unit in there. There are a few things that could use updating (no toaster, toilet ran unless you jiggled the handle, bedding (especially for pull out couch) could be updated, missing cushions for the lanai chairs where we spent most of our time in the mornings and for dinner. Basic kitchen supplies included. Would’ve been nice to have a few Tupperware containers and a larger bowl for salad. All in all, a great stay!
The view and beach at this location was absolutely gorgeous and pristine! Unfortunately, the accommodations at this particular condo were totally sub par. The towels and bedding were old and thin. The kitchen was bleakly stocked which made cooking difficult and quite frankly things seemed rather dirty, rusty, and ready to be replaced. The bathroom was in disrepair with a large crack in the sink and a constantly running toilet. The shower stall was also pretty disgusting. We still had a fabulous time visiting on Oahu, but for the price we paid per night, would not return to this particular condo. Updates are desperately needed.
We enjoyed being out away from the busy areas of Honolulu and Waikiki, but that also created a problem getting to any of our tours. We missed seeing some areas because it was just too far to drive and the roads were very crowded. We have a rental property and this one needed a few things added like plastic wrap and foil. It doesn't seem like much but it would have been nice.

Hawaiian Princess
The condo at Hawaiian Princess was nice, clean and pleasant. A bit outdated but comfortable and met all of our needs. The neighborhood did not feel safe. All of the beaches along the west coast were taken up by homeless, who are very territorial and generally do not like tourists. Everywhere we went, we needed to drive because there was no place to go near the condo. So we did a lot of driving and traffic was very congested and busy. I will not return to O’ahu again.
We really enjoyed our stay especially my 10 year old grandson. My sister was on the bottom level and we were at the 6th floor just above her condo so it made the stay even special. The staff was very nice and helpful.
The first night there, we didn't have our access code to get into our condo but the front desk clerk was able to help us through it all. That said and meant alot. The only problem that we had was the first night we took a shower, the shower door fell when I caught it on time before smashing my foot. It was so late we didn't want to bother anyone. We had meant to tell the staff but our stay was so busy that I didn't get a chance to inform anyone. We just made sure that we didn't slide that door the entire time we were there. Other than that everything was perfect. My sister and I visit Hawaii every year. So I am pretty sure I will be back next year. Thank you for everything. Mahalo
This location is beautiful. This unit is the 2nd unit I have stayed in within this condo building in the last 2 years, and although this unit it is a little outdated, this unit definitely served it's purpose. It is missing a sunshade, which made it a little warm in the condo in the afternoons, but that is a minor inconvenience, considering we just went to the beach in the afternoons and played in the ocean to keep cool. I prefer this side of the island since I'm not too fond of big crowds, so the homeless/ travel time to other locations was not an issue for me. The communication was great with property management. We had one issue with the internet for the first 4 days. They told me on day 3 that the internet provider would be out to resolve the issues the following day and told me that I would be compensated for my troubles. The provider came and fixed the issue, however I have yet to see compensation. all of the appliances worked and there were beach chairs and a few beach toys stocked for us to use. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, I LOVE the view and I definitely will be staying in this building again in the near future.

Makaha Stay
While this property had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony, there were a couple of areas that lacked within the condo. What was advertised as a king sized bed was in fact two twin sized mattress pushed together. One of the chairs within that dame bedroom had a large hole in it. The shower head pressure was so high it was painful to stand too close to the water. There were bugs within the shower as well. Most rentals accommodate their guests with small toiletries, in this case all toiletries and detergent were just about depleted on arrival. The wifi within the condo was not working neither was the cable on the television. When inquiring about the wifi username and password, I was given one that did not work and was not even listed on “Nearby Wifi”.
My husband and I enjoyed three nights here. It was lovely to wake up to the view and see the gorgeous sunset at night. The beach almost seemed private as the coastline is kind of curved and there weren't many people. The tall seating on the lanai is nice. The kitchen is stocked well with items and the appliances are good. Barstools at the kitchen counter add to the general seating options. The bed is comfortable and the space is ok. The bathroom has a shower curtain(there was an earlier review about a shower door). The bathroom has an artificial" skylight" which makes it nice and bright. We used the beach chairs that were stored in closet. The washer and dryer are good. We could hear the neighbors next door through the mirrored wall when they were loud. The property is gated and key fobs are needed for access to the parking lot, elevators, and beach. The on site personnel were helpful and pleasant. The property is clean and well maintained. Tamura Market and Long's Drug Store are nearby and good for shopping. There's not much for dining out along there, but if you're military, we recommend The Beach House by 604 for a nice beach side dining experience. Ka'ena Point is a nice hike along the coast. There are a lot of homeless living along the beaches on the way. Even with this issue, given the security and peacefulness of the beach, we would stay here again.
Bed was super comfortable! The beach lounge chair did not work - would not open all the way. We left 2 Tommy Bahamas chairs that are meant for taller/bigger people - hope future guests enjoy them! View was spectacular and Thank you for having an air conditioner in the bedroom - between that and the bed, we slept as well as we do at home! Would def rent again

Great view and location on the beach… but listing has some flaws
We loved being right on the beach. That was the best part. However, the front door, from way before our stay, had been busted in and the door was somewhat fixed. The kitchen was outdated and only had 1 tall drinking glass instead of multiple. The knives were so dull we could barely cut anything with them. The freezer rack has rust on it in various places. The bathroom had a cracked sink and the shower smelled when I opened it. The AC unit barely worked at all. This place needs an update for sure. We also has some bodyboards in the unit to use, one was broken so it folded in half. This is in a rougher neighborhood and around a lot of homeless people, but the ones we talked too were very friendly. The screen door to the patio will lock you out if you close it just right, I found that out the hard way. The pull out bed was not the best. You could feel the bars under the mattress. Would I stay in this unit again? Well if it was the last one available yes, but only because of the views and it being right on the beach. Otherwise I would probably stay somewhere else. I wish I could post pictures of all the issues, but there isn’t a way to.
