Pet friendly apartment

These two apartments with pool belong to an Umbrian family farm with sheep breeding. The apartments are simply but functionally furnished and each has a private sitting area in front of the house (IUS101 on the first floor). The pool with its sun terrace is at the common disposal of the guests during the summer months of July and August. The apartments are a suitable starting point for Umbria lovers: only 10 km away is the medieval "wine town" of Montefalco; on the opposite hillside is the equally picturesque Spello; from here it is only a stone's throw (or a day's hike in the footsteps of St. Francis) over the bare Monte Subasio to Assisi. Equally easy to reach are the historic hill towns of Todi and Spoleto (20-30 km). Available from the owner on site: sheep's cheese and olive oil.

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für einen gelungenen Urlaub in Umbrien

Wir haben 12 wunderbare Tage in Giano dell'Umbria verbracht. Die Vermieterin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und mit Gemüse aus dem Garten beschenkt. Die Ferienwohnung im 1. Stock mit schöner Terrasse und Blick zu den alten Gemäuern von Morcicchia und in die umbrische Landschaft ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Die Lage abgeschieden von Verkehrslärm ist perfekt für einen ruhigen, erholsamen Aufenthalt. Die Küche ist mit den wesentlichsten Utensilien ausgestattet. Ein Traum ist der herrlich angelegte Pool, dessen Wasser trotz hoher Lufttemperatur immer sauber und abkühlend war. Das Quartier liegt für die Erkundung von Umbrien sehr zentral, und für das abendliche Gläschen mit umbrischem Wein sind wir sehr gerne ins nahe Montefalco mit seiner italienisch-lebendigen Piazza gefahren. Einzig der relativ große Schafstall, der direkt an das Grundstück angrenzt und den Blick in die Landschaft etwas verstellt, könnte als kleiner Nachteil erwähnt werden.
