Whiskey Hill Cabin a Mountain escape in Virginia Wine country.

Whiskey Hill Cabin is based on a classic design from the 1960’s which makes it a unique place to enjoy your vacation! The cabin is a fully renovated chalet style cabin with many modern updates. Some of the updates include a new fireplace wood stove for guest use, pine and cedar ceilings, a new bathroom and honed granite countertops. All of these updates to this classic cabin help make your vacation more relaxing and enjoyable.

Some of the highlights include: Self Check in with your own custom lock code, Gas fire pit table, Real wood fireplace. High Speed internet/Wifi.

There are 2 bedrooms and a large loft bedroom (queen beds in each).
The cabin has a large deck that is perfect for enjoying the nature of the mountain. Since the cabin was designed in the 1960’s the interior steps were not designed with today’s standards, but we love the classic design so we decided to keep it original. We ask that you please keep in mind that the interior loft stairs are not suitable for children. We appreciate your understanding.

The cabin is in Virginia wine country. It is close to 10+ Virginia wineries including Fox Meadow Winery (3.4 mi) and Crimson Lane Vineyards (7.9 mi), Skyline drive and the Appalachian Trail (GR Thompson State Wildlife Management area is about 5 minutes away; famous for trillium flowers). Enjoy the areas many activities including: hiking, canoeing, horse back riding, wine tasting and the natural surroundings.

The cabin is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is set on a private wooded mountain lot with winter views of the Shenandoah Valley and mountain ranges. During your stay you will enjoy the peaceful quiet of the mountains, local wildlife, amazing sunsets and bright starry nights. Near Front Royal, VA it is an easy 1 hour drive to and from the DC metro area.

Our price is for 4 guests maximum. We charge more for Holidays and Holiday weekends.

A welcome gift and starter pack of essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper and soaps, etc. are provided for your stay. Any extra supplies will need to be purchased by guests.

Kayaking and water tubing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and cave exploring nearby.

The Whiskey Hill Cabin was everything we could have asked for! We were close to wineries and Shenandoah National Park. The cabin was cozy and well stocked with everything you could need. We would definitely stay again!

Quiet spot in the VA mountains

We enjoyed our weekend at Whiskey Hill Cabin. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We were looking for quiet and found it there. Beautiful view and scenic drive to get there!

Anniversary Trip

This beautiful cabin has everything you need for a wonderful stay. My husband and I stayed here for our 44th anniversary while visiting local wineries. It was a perfect location.

We had an incredible time!The cabin was amazing! It was honestly better than what the pictures even showed! And communication with the owners was great! My husband and I plan on going back very soon! To be honest, my husband and I could just live there!It was super quiet! The cabin is well taken care of and was super clean! You could tell the owners value their cabin and made everything super easy for us! Beautiful place! We would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!!!

We loved our stay in the forest, it's nice that there are other houses around but at the same time it feels completely secluded. The cabin is gorgeous and we loved hanging out on the porch! The sheets were super soft, water pressure was good, everything was super clean and well taken care of.Some tiny suggestions for improvement that would level up the experience to 6 stars if that was an option: upgrade the 1 ply cheap toiletpaper, add nice pump soap instead of a packaged bar, add one tide pod for a quick laundryThis didn't make our experience any less but would be that little extra cherry on the cake. Great cabin either way!

Perfect get away from it all

What a fantastic place to get away from it all! All the basics were there and in great condition. The cabin is well maintained and is very easy to relax in because it is not cluttered or filled to the brim with "stuff". The neighborhood is quiet, and the drive to Linden or Front Royal is short. However, the house is so nice that leaving is hard!

This place was SO cute, perfect for our ladies cabin weekend. Super close to DC and the road up to the cabin wasn't bad at all (we've stayed at places where 4WD is absolutely required). Overall a great stay!

Amazing Property

Whisky Hill is an amazing cabin. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, and had everything we needed. It was not difficult at all to find. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and can’t wait to be back. It was a great find!! Highly recommend if coming to the Linden area.

Perfect little nest to escape to!

A friend and I were looking for a quiet getaway, somewhere we could spend a few days just reading, eating, sipping wine, talking and laughing. This was the perfect spot! So cozy and peaceful. The kitchen was well-equipped for the nights we made dinner, and the living area was perfect for curling up with a book or some wine and a little gossip. We were so sad to lock up and leave on the last day!

Cute and Quaint

Love this little place. Wish I knew to bring firewood. Hubby planned to make it so we didn’t have to leave and we didn’t except for firewood :) so bring some if you plan to have a fire, if staying in the winter you will need one, as it’s cold downstairs but cozies up fast once you have one! The bottle of wine was a wonderful touch and we would love to come back. Another touch that would be cool is a jacuzzi on the deck! Really cozy!!

Beautiful and relaxing

This cabin is flawless! The decor is absolutely beautiful and the space is very cozy. I absolutely loved the view off the deck, which is easily seen inside as well, since the wall is almost entirely windows facing down the mountain. Sunset is the best time at this cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with how peaceful and quiet it is, but in fact we were a short drive from one of the most beautiful vineyards I have had the pleasure of visiting - Fox Meadows. We were easily able to locate restaurants that weren't too far away and enjoyed tasting at multiple vineyards. Great rental property! We will definitely be back :)

Girls Weekend Getaway

A few friends and I stayed in Whisky Hill Cabin and we are so glad we did! The cabin was clean, so well organized, provided all of the instructions necessary to make sure our stay was seamless. All of the amenities listed were there, the beds were very comfortable (minus the pillows- but I suggest you bring your own as everyone has a personal preference in terms of the firmness of the pillow). 5 star review all the way! Wish we would have stayed longer! The cabin is remote enough even though there are neighbors down and up the hill, still felt like we are secluded. Easy to find using the address the cabin is located on. Perfect stay! Can’t wait to come back again soon!

As advertised

I say "as advertised" as a compliment. The photos were accurate and the cabin and deck were as wonderful as we had hoped. You can see a few other cabins but no one was staying in them so it was totally quiet and dark. We loved it! I recommend bedside lamps and reading lamps in the living area. Overhead lighting is not very cozy for reading at night. I would also have appreciated darker curtains in the bedrooms. With just shades you are up with the sun. Everything else was great.

Fantastic comfortable cabin in the woods ! Everything we could have needed and more . Very comfortable beds , very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed quiet mornings on the deck , loved loved Fox Meadows winery - just a few miles from the cabin . The owners were very responsive and gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and drink . We enjoyed hiking in Shenandoah during the day , winery in afternoon after a hike and quiet evening on the cabin. Highly recommend !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whiskey Hill Cabin! The location was so peaceful and quiet and the cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. It's located in a very beautiful part of Virginia.
