The Moose View Cabin is a charming 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom cabin, with easy year long access. We are located just 16 miles from Breckenridge Colorado. Are you ready to enjoy the Colorado Mountains? The cabin is situated right next to the Middle Fork of the South Platte River with incredible fishing right out the front door! Looking for a stand alone cabin to enjoy all the Colorado has to offer this is the cabin for you! If your are looking to hike a 14er in the summer, the Moose View cabin is surrounded by multiple 14ers including the Decalibron Hike, Mt. Democrat, Mt. Camron, Mt. Lincoln, and Mt. Bross linked together in just a 7.5 mile loop. Come ready to Hike, Bike, Fish, Ski, Snowboard, or just relax by the fire and take in the beautiful sunsets.

Please note that there are ring cameras outside on property for security purposes. Any removal or damage to cameras will result in your immediate removal from property and you will be charged for damages.

This is the perfect location for climbing the local 14,000 foot peaks. The modern kitchen and high speed internet are great for rest days between climbs.

Colorado Adventure

We really enjoyed the property. Was perfect for our group. Was stocked with everything we needed. Only issue we had was with bugs in the lower bedroom and that the windows did not have screens. Also would have been a lot more comfortable if the garage door would have locked. Otherwise, we would definitely stay again!

Relaxing retreat

The cabin was comfortable and clean. It has amazing views and was so relaxing to sit in one of the several comfy chairs and look outside and admire the scenery. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils (good quality as well) you could need to make a meal. The beds were super comfortable. Aimee and Michaeline were extremely helpful and courteous throughout our stay. Definitely will stay again!

Great family vacay spot!

Cozy cabin with all the amenities you can think of to make you feel like you’re at home! Easy drive to Breckenridge and within 5-10 miles of local restaurants and markets to fill the fridge. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Great house with great location to Breck, about 20 minutes. Easy driveway with snow. House was very comfortable with good beds. We will definitely stay there again.

We are the Taylor family and we love all things outdoors, especially in Colorado. We moved to Colorado from Texas in 2019 and have loved every minute of it (which is saying a lot considering it has all been during a Pandemic). We have two kids (14 & 12 years old) and we love to ski, hike, bike, kayak, paddleboard, fish, camp, rock climb, and sit by the fire pit.

Why they chose this property

We recently purchased Moose View cabin from an amazing family that had put tons of TLC into it. The cabin has outstanding views of the beautiful Colorado mountains and wildlife. While there is great internet and a smart TV in the cabin, we hardly find time to use either because of all the activities available. There is a pond about 1/2 mile down the road for fishing, Montgomery Reservoir for even better fishing, 5 Mountains with peaks at over 14K feet surrounding the cabin, and world-class skiing in Breckenridge (16 miles), Keystone (31 miles), Vail (53 miles), Beaver Creek (64 miles) and Copper Mountain (33 miles) just a short drive away. There are grocery stores, hardware stores, rental shops, bakeries, wineries, and restaurants just in Fairplay and Alma. We especially love Salado in Fairplay!
