Shortcomings and dispute
I'm sure this was once a nice property. It no longer is. The property is tired and in need of a major renovation or total replacement. The website picture of the indoor pool is very nice. In reality it is beat. Our children wouldn't go in it. Sheets, towels, kitchen appliances, dishes, glasses, silverware all fine. Internal doors were old and swollen. Do not close well. The look is more of a tired summer rental on the beach. The worst thing about the rooms is the pullout beds. The current mattresses are so thin that when you lay down all you can feel are the supporting metal rods of the pullout structure. I had to pull off the mattress and put it on the floor in order to sleep at all. While moving the mattress I noticed a good deal of mold on the bottom of it. The service people and staff were polite. The problems are mostly with physical things. The one problem I had with the management was being charged some type of catchall fee upon checkout. There is no mention of this fee anywhere prior to checkout that I can find and certainly not on the invoice I paid. The checkout clerk told me that it was $37 and change per room. I declined to pay it at checkout. They charged my credit card for $47.96 for each room. I have disputed that charge with my credit card provider.
