Awesome Stay
We had a great time. Susan was lovely and a great hostess. The location was a 5 minute walk from about everything. It was an amazing stay. It ended with a herd of elk just outside the front door which made for some nice parting photos!!

The perfect place to stay in Banff!
This was our second trip to Banff and we knew we wanted to stay within walking distance to downtown because parking in downtown can be difficult. We couldn’t have made a better choice. This delightful B&B was clean and well-maintained, our bed was amazing, and we felt right at home. Susan, our host, was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed her wonderful breakfasts every morning, as well as her fun conversations. This is THE place to stay in Banff and we look forward to staying there next time.

About the host

Hosted by Susan Jakubiz

Host profile image
Fifty years ago there were few Bed & Breakfasts in Banff, however, my Grandmother ran one called “The Poplars”. “Momma”, as everyone called her, created a welcoming environment with exceptional hospitality for all her guests.

I have named my Bed & Breakfast “The Poplar Inn” because I wanted to carry on the wonderful tradition started by my grandmother. The Inn is built on my parents’ property with many of the trees that my Mother planted still standing. Come and stay with me and discover the quiet splendor of the Inn, and enjoy the continued tradition of hospitality taught to me by “Momma”.

Why they chose this property

Within walking distance, you can explore the rich history of this friendly community by visiting local museums, art galleries, and the Cave and Basin Historic Site. There are a number of ways to get around Banff and the surrounding area including a local transit system and taxis, as well as limousine services, shuttle busses, and tours. There are bike rentals and a gondola to give you breathtaking views of the town and surrounding area. Banff has a wonderful selection of shops and boutiques to wander through and a great selection of restaurants. Of course, there is breathtaking scenery, outdoor activities to keep you busy right at our front door.
