About this property

Beautiful large family reunion Pigeon Forge Cabin!

Convenient location close to Pigeon Forge (15 min), Wears Valley (10 min) and Gatlinburg (30 min) tourist attractions, including Smoky Mountain National Park. Epic smoky mountain wedding and special event locations such as Trillium Venue are a short 10 minute drive away.

Looking for a kid-friendly, spacious cabin for family reunions or extended family gatherings?  Well, Bless My Stars! You have found the perfect Smoky Mountain National Park cabin to make some amazing family memories.

This easily accessible, newly remodeled five bedroom cabin is located in the log cabin community of Smoky Cove and offers high speed internet, a movie theater room, arcade games, pool table, private hot tub and a community outdoor pool.

The space:
Bless My Stars Cabin is the best of both worlds.  It's a high-quality, spacious, classic log cabin but with the extra bonus of a fully remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. Crisp white sheets and duvets, comfortable beds and other hotel amenities are included.  You experience that cozy, comfortable Smoky Mountain log cabin feel of thick logs, huge beams and massive stone fireplaces.  And yet you can still enjoy the modern conveniences of lightning fast internet plus high end kitchen appliances and amenities.

A common theme from reviews by our guests of Bless My Stars Cabin is the feeling of spaciousness.  From the moment, you enter through the front door, there's tall, soaring ceilings and large, open gathering areas where everyone has a seat around the fire or dining table. With multiple levels of entertaining space the cabin is ideal for large groups of family or friends that enjoy being together but still want to separate at times. The remodeled kitchen has an expansive, bright white quartz kitchen island and high end bright blue cabinetry that invites cooking, laughing and making memories.   Designed to be family-friendly the cabin is well-stocked with games, puzzles and more for all ages. There's three levels of expansive porches filled with outdoor games, toys, rocking chairs, outdoor sofas, propane grill and a private hot tub.  There's no better place to listen to the rain and enjoy being surrounded by nature than on those deep, spacious porches. You'll feel hidden away amongst the trees, and yet the roads and driveway of the house make it feel like a suburban street.

Access:
If you're concerned about roads and easy access to the cabin, then this cabin is a great choice. Roads to access the cabin as well as nearby Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley and Gatlinburg attractions and restaurants are all paved and reasonably wide. The roads are hilly, but not steep. No matter the weather, this is an easily accessible cabin. The driveway (see picture in listing) is slightly steep and should hold four vehicles.

View:
If you are looking for a cabin with an expansive Smoky Mountain vista view, this is NOT the right cabin for you. The Smoky Cove Community is full of mature, leafy, green trees and your view is of those trees. Guests remark that it feels, when sitting on a porch, like they are in the middle of a forest. There's a feeling of privacy and coziness as you look out onto this thick wall of green leaves and branches that dips down into a small valley below.  During the winter, when the leaves have fallen, you can see the distant mountains peeking through the branches.

Noise levels:
There are noise regulation limits within the Smoky Cove community. As a courtesy, we have noise monitors installed that alert guests when they are exceeding those levels. These devices do not record any sound. They only measure decibel levels.

Layout:
The upstairs offers two bedrooms and a shared hall bath. A classic cabin feel with vaulted ceilings (one bedroom with queen sized log bunk bed and the other bedroom with a king sized hand-carved log headboard). The main level includes the kitchen, dining area, living area and a large master suite bedroom with king sized bed, fireplace and ensuite bathroom that includes a walk in shower and separate, jacuzzi whirlpool tub. There is also a half bath on the main level. There are no stairs on the main level or outside leading up to the house, which makes the layout ideal for multi-generational stays (or anyone with mobility challenges). Downstairs is a game room with pool table and arcade, movie room, two bedrooms (king sized beds) and another hall bathroom. The lower porch has games and distractions for all ages with hammocks, rocking chairs, a giant Connect Four game and a mini climbing gym. There are beds for 12 people and two full size convertible beds (one rollaway and one "chair and a half" pullout sofa) to sleep an additional 2 people.

Community Amenities:
The Smoky Cove community outdoor pool is a two-minute drive away.  There's also a large, covered picnic area, fire pit and horseshoe pit close to the pool that available for your use.

For parents:
For 0-2 years old -- A crib, stroller, high chair, baby gates and other infant toys are provided. However, the cabin is not babyproofed. There are no covers on electrical outlets or cabinet locks. All three full bathrooms include bathtubs.

3-12 years old - We have multiple board games, puzzles and toys for kids and adults. The street outside is quiet and there's rarely any cars. There is also a small side yard and multiple levels of porch decks. For small children the bottom level porch is ideal for playing as it is completely contained and includes hammocks and some toys (imagine a giant play pen. :-)).

Amenities:
You are provided with a starter set of coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soap, trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels. You may need to purchase more during your stay depending upon your use. There is no mid-stay cleaning service included, but an early trash pick-up can be arranged for an additional $25.

Television:
There is no cable TV provided. Every television in the home (one in each bedroom), living area and theatre room is a Smart TV where you can log into personal programs (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, etc). There is also high-speed wifi.

Video games:
Besides the multi-cade arcade game, there are no personal video gaming stations provided. However, the theatre room comes equipped with high-speed internet and an HDMI cable and surround sound ready for any gaming stations that you decide to bring.

Monitoring technology -
There is one exterior video camera on the cabin and Minut noise monitoring technology inside the cabin. Minut does not record any sound but does measure decibel levels. We respect our guests' privacy, but utilize these technologies, when needed, to ensure compliance with contractual agreements (number of guests, no pets and noise levels).

Excessive cleaning charge - $300
Your cleaning fee assumes you have followed the check-out instructions. Trash is bagged, pots and pans have been washed and returned and dishes are washed in dishwasher. Grill was cared for during stay and is reasonably clean. The house has been used, but there is no damage or extensive cleaning required to prepare for the next guest. If this is not the case upon your departure and there is excessive cleaning required, an additional $300 will be deducted from your security deposit.

About the host

Host profile image
My husband and I are based in Nashville and we love hosting and traveling. We have a constant stream of friends and family visit and that hosting gradually expanded to include some spots where we enjoy vacationing. We like being active and exploring the outdoors. And we also like finding the best food in the area! Mostly, we enjoy staying in a place that feels like a home instead of a hotel. Hopefully, you feel the same when you visit one of our places.

Why they chose this property

There is this cozy, solid, welcoming feel right when you enter Bless My Stars. The huge vaulted ceiling, stone fireplace, solid logs all around and those big windows tugged at our hearts from the first time we walked in. And...there is that movie theater room. We upgraded the speaker system in there and got these ultra plush recliners. The whole experience of watching a movie with dimmed lighting, huge screen and comfy recliners and the surround sound keeps drawing us in!

We also liked the location. Often those huge, vista views of some cabins include single access gravel roads and significant twists and turns. Every trek in and out feels like a big effort. This cabin was easy. Wide, paved streets and close to all the main attractions. You can also skirt around the traffic during popular seasons in Pigeon Forge with all the side roads and easily get to prime spots. Although, we joke that due to our never-ending list of improvement projects, we're way more familiar with the proximity of Lowes and Home Depot than with all the amazing dinner shows and entertainment of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!

What makes this property unique

Well...the primary unique benefit is that this is a place with a lot of love and thought poured into it. And the desire for a bit of humor and fun. Guests comment that the amount of amenities and quality of them is well beyond a standard rental. And that's because this is our cabin as well as yours. We use it for friends and family and consistently try to improve the experience based upon the feedback of our guests.

We bought the cabin in early 2021 and initially we were planning to do some minor cosmetic updates. But....then the project quickly expanded. All major systems (i.e. new A/C system, heater, etc) were replaced and we did a complete replacement of the kitchen. Basically, every fixture in the cabin is new. We also replaced all the tile and cabinets in the bathrooms. Plus, you'll find lot of other upgrades and customizations sprinkled throughout that are rare within Smoky Mountain rental cabins. There were a lot of late nights and early days that first year. We lived there during most of the remodel. Living there and also staying at the cabin with big groups of family and friends has helped us to continue to improve and tweak. As well as all the ideas and suggestions from our guests! We've tried to make it a thoughtful place where people can come, relax and spend some worry free days. We hope it's a place you enjoy.
