Not so great!
We have used VRBO for many years without a problem, until now. When we walked in, we immediately smelled what we thought was a musty smell. We saw a dehumidifier in the bedroom, electric diffusers and scented candles everywhere we assume was an effort to cover up the smell. Since we were only staying the weekend, we just ignored it since we'd be spending most of our time outdoors. I mentioned a few times to my husband that the place smelled of urine. Again, we ignored it. At the end of our stay, we left the place in good order, washing the dishes that we used, removing used linens and beginning the wash cycle for a load of dirty towels. We were shocked when we received an email the following morning stating we'd be charged an additional fee because we had a dog that "peed" on the living room chair. Problem is we did not bring a pet! We tried contacting the agent multiple times, but she would not return any calls, texts, or message through VRBO. When she finally called back, she was annoyed stating that she's very busy and would not offer an apology and in fact dug her heals in implying that we were lying. When confronted with proof that we did not fly with a pet she turned back on us saying we swore at her which is not true. Again, we have been renters on VRBO for many years and have never had an issue until now. There are many places to stay on the island, I'd recommend not staying at this condo.
