Tucked away in a peaceful spot, it’s perfect for families, friends, and nature lovers looking for a mix of seclusion and adventure. Hey there! Welcome to Mockingbird Perch!! We’ve always dreamed of having a cozy cabin in the Smoky mountains. After raising two girls and spending years on the road following their college softball teams, we finally made that dream a reality. We love traveling, hiking, and lately, we’ve picked up a new obsession—pickleball! Oh, and we’ve had some sweet additions to the family. We’ve got a precious granddaughter and grandson, born just two weeks apart in 2022, and two more little ones joined us in 2024. Y’all, bein' grandparents is the best!
Why they chose this property
Every year when I was growing up, my family visited Gatlinburg for a long weekend. As a family with 2 boys and 1 girl, there was always lots to do that included everyone. I still feel that is true today. Whether you want an action packed week or just some quiet down time, this is the perfect place!
What makes this property unique
We love to be outdoors so Mockingbird Perch was great fit for our family. Hiking is one of our passions and we knew we wanted to be close to the Smoky Mountain National Park. As a side note, we like the resort because it is far enough away from to feel like you are away from it all, but close enough to enjoy all the fun things the area has to offer. Also, we feel fortunate to have a cabin in a resort that takes great care of the roads and provides a seasonal pool and pickleball courts. Our favorite time at the cabin is at night when we sit under the stars and catch up with each other. Oh and the hot tub with a mountain view is pretty amazing too!!! It is our hope that our cabin will bring family and friends together.
