Dukes Cabin at Gilbert Lake is the perfect location for your Cooperstown getaway. The main entrance to the beautiful 1,500 acre Gilbert Lake state park is right next door, where you can lay on the sandy beach, swim in the lake, kayak, or hike the many trails. The property is 20-25 minutes to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame/ Dreams Park) and 15 minutes to Oneonta.

Newly renovated in 2021, the cabin has an open floor plan brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new bathroom, and brand new comfortable bedding. Hi speed WiFi, landline phone, and Sling TV provided with over 30 major channels.

From the front deck you can listen to nature, and sometimes the stream that runs along the front of the property. Dining set on the back deck let’s you enjoy outdoor meals (BBQ also provided for cooking).

Loved Duke’s Cabin!

Fair remote cabin

The place itself was okay. The location is good if you’re looking for a remote place to stay. The cabin tho was very dirty and even the sheets had hair and other stuff on them.

Hidden Gem

The household was just bug enough for our needs. Clean, well apportioned and close to Gilbert Lake State Park, a hidden gem. We enjoyed seeing deer at dawn and dusk. The weather was a welcomed change from the FL heat and it was close to everything we came to do.

Wonderful place in the remote woods!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy and looks more updated in-person than on the pictures. I would definitely recommend it!

Duke’s cabin is close enough but also far enough from the Allstar Village to really enjoy your stay. We loved it. Clean, quiet, dark (at night), and remote. I highly recommend!

Freshly renovated wood cabin only 1 minute from gilbertlakestatepark right off the main road very easy to find. Very clean perfect place to get some quite rest

Sweet little cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this great little cabin. Clean and comfortable. Loved how close it is to Gilbert Lake State Park. Only issue for us was no pets rule and that might prevent us from renting in the future.

Dukes Cabin

We stayed at Dukes cabin for week 6 at the Cooperstown ASV. Absolutely perfect place to unwind after a long day at the ASV. Dukes Cabin was exactly as described, perfect location (12 mins from ASV) and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, quiet cabin in the woods. Thanks again to the host!

The cabin was so cute! Off the road and very quiet. We LOVED Gilbert Lake state park and the cabin was right there! Cell Reception was bad but the Wi-Fi worked.

A Perfect Cabin for Cooperstown

We really enjoyed our stay at Duke's Cabin during our recent trip to the Cooperstown Allstar Village Experience! It was 15-20 minutes away from the park tucked back in the woods that offered peace and quiet to relax after long days of baseball. The cabin was clean and offered all the things we needed for our stay.

Beautiful Cabin in Remote Quiet Location

Absolutely beautiful cabin located in very quiet off the path remote location. Very close to gorgeous park / lake area which was incredibly nice to visit. The owners are super responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities. The bathroom is a little tight on counter space but if this is my only complaint... it's a light one... would definitely come back again. Although we were here for Cooperstown and didn't get as much time to enjoy the outdoors aspect of the location, I would come back again to fish, swim, canoe, hike and more...

Wonderful Week at Duke's Cabin for Cooperstown Tournament

We had a terrific stay at Duke's Cabin while my son played at Cooperstown All Star Village for the week. It was a short commute to the games and just down the road from beautiful Lake Gilbert State Park. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and cozy! We used the BBQ and enjoyed a couple of meals out on the deck. The kitchen has all the essential pots, pans and dishware, but make sure to bring your own cooking oil, coffee and condiments! Owner was prompt to respond when we had a concern. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Hide-a-way, cabin, place for Cooperstown Baseball, retreat and awesome host

We had amazing communication with the property owner from the time we booked (months in advanced) all the way until the end of the stay. We were 15mins from All-Star Village and secluded from neighbors and it was just a well-maintained and quaint place. Everything was new and clearly time was spent making sure it was perfect for guests. There's a nice stream that runs through the property and it it walking distance from a state park with a beach, lake, kids' park, sand volleyball court, and walking paths. It was perfect for us because we had rainouts from our son's baseball games, and the drive was 15mins back and forth to All-Star Village - which is one of the shorter ones on the team. It was perfect for the four or us in our family. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing Cabin and Host

This cabin was the perfect place to stay while our son played at Allstar Village. The cabin is well stocked and extremely clean. They even have fishing poles for Gilbert Lake. The host went above and beyond when the power went out in the area one night. Reaching out immediately and even offering us to stay in another one of his properties for the night if needed. Great location to Gilbert Lake, only 30 minutes to Hall of Fame. There's no cell service but the wifi worked to send messages. The washer/dryer were great when staying for the week. We enjoyed grilling out and looking at the stars. Highly recommend, we will be back in a few years.

Duke's Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Duke's Cabin. The listing is accurate. We stayed for baseball and were about 15 minutes away from ASV. Lots of deer in the area. Some even came to visit us at the cottage. We also hit the beach at Gibson Lake one day, very nice beach with concessions and life guards. No cell reception at cottage, so it may be helpful to take note of your directions before you head out until you are familiar with the area. Cottage could use another small table in bathroom or in front of mirror in main area, but otherwise very happy with our decision to stay here. Thank you!!

Great stay, cute cabin!

We had a great stay at this cute cabin! We arrived late in the pouring rain and were happy to see a motion light greet us and easy entry. Each room had its own heat control which was perfect. The cabin was clean and neat. There were some games available that we enjoyed with our 7 year old daughter. The cabin was out of cell range for us so the WiFi was excellent to have. A beautiful quiet area with lots of deer on our rides to and from the cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer!
