Chris and Maryam Ardalan are your hosts. Marinus was built in 2008 on a rare parcel of land just off the Big Sur Coast by the prior owners. Marinus means "of the sea" in Latin. It is a spectacular estate that sits atop of the coastline overlooking the Pacific Ocean. For years, the prior owners shared the estate with others through online bookings. We acquired Marinus in June of 2021 and continue sharing the estate with others who wish to experience the breathtaking beauty of the property and its surroundings. What drew us to the property was the picturesque blending of the elements of nature that overtakes you as you drive through the area. When it’s not booked, we enjoy creating our own memories with our families and friends while soaking in the serenity and peaceful landscape and watching the amazing sunsets from the deck. It is our endeavor to take the best possible care of our guests and the property to maximize their enjoyment.
Why they chose this property
We wanted views of the Ocean, but not views of crowds in and around the Ocean. We also love nature. San Simeon has the perfect blend of Ocean and nature that allows for an escape from City life into a reclusive resort that brings peace and tranquility.
What makes this property unique
There is something very special about the Big Sur Coast. This place is so rugged, so powerful and so beautiful that just being in this environment will lift most people out of the numbness of everyday life. It is a truly zen inducing estate that immerses ones spirit and soul.
