About this property

Wake up to beautiful views of the marsh! The cottage is cozy but plenty of room to relax and get around. The Cozy Crab can be used as a great fishing getaway or a quiet place to relax and enjoy the marsh and wildlife! Look closely and you might see dolphins, manatees, sea turtles and marsh birds. Even at low tide, the floating dock is on deep water. Bring your boat or even an RV (no water/sewer connections on site) to keep on the 0.7 private, shaded acres. Note: we do have a boat lift and boat but it is for owner's use only; however, you can dock your boat on our floating dock which has bumpers. We do recommend not coming or going from the dock in your boat until at least 1.5 hours before and after low tide if you are not familiar with the area. We can provide a map of how to get to and from the main channel.

Fishing poles, crab trap and bait bucket are on site for your use! Our guests have told us how much they enjoy the sunrises in the morning, watching the birds and fishing/crabbing. Guests have caught a wide variety of fish including, but not limited to: flounder, sheepshead, redfish, trout, and bottom fish like catfish, stingrays and little sharks!

Other amenities include a fire pit, full kitchen, internet, cable and washer/dryer. Only a 10-15 minute drive to Amelia Island's beaches.

We have wonderful neighbors so we ask that you not have any parties and not have any more than 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs ($50 total pet fee). Please also make sure the person booking is the person staying (if it is different please disclose to us).

Note: There is a Blink camera at the front door overlooking the parking area and back porch overlooking the dock which is active for all stays. We also live down the street but don't plan to be on site unless an issue arises.

Great end of summer vacation

My family loves the cozy crab. Its the perfect place for us to enjoy the Amelia area on land and by boat. The sunrise and waterway view cant be beat!

This place immediately makes you slow down and observe. You can sit inside and with the view you feel like you’re outside. But making it down to the end of the dock is where all the beauty is. We watched the sunrise every morning and they all were so different. Next time we’re for sure going to rent a boat. And there definitely will be a next time. This is one of those unique setups that you will go out of your way to make happen again and again. And the hostess….. lovely as well. And very accommodating and available. Such a quaint place and unique experience.

We have lived in the Yulee/Fernandina Beach area for 17+ years. We have four school aged kids who enjoy fishing, crabbing and hanging by the firepit.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the property and have been using it as a place to enjoy the water and outdoors with our family. From our dock we have seen manatees, dolphins (sometimes within a few feet of the floating dock), sea turtles, a sea otter and of course lots of marsh birds. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family has. Sometimes we like to go out there just to sit on the dock and enjoy the view and wildlife.
